Dear EA
EA, just know you have ruined a good game with your upcoming changes just because you are money hungry… this game deserved better than you…

@FluffeePsychoI really would like to know how the Final Fantasy event was profitable for them. Its apparently one of the most profitable events we've had, and from what I've heard, EVERYONE hated it, pros barely gave away skins like past events, and some even boycotted it.
What's worse, is that its rumored that any legend who didn't get an heirloom yet, (Newcastle, Mad Maggie, Vantage, etc.) aren't going to get one any time soon as Respawn is going to do more universal ones, such as some sort of "artifact dagger", which that one is rumored to be customizable, and has a rumored price tag of around $700 to unlock all the customizable options.
I know games need to make money, especially free to play ones, and I don't expect having a lot for free, but games like Genshin Impact makes spending money feel worth it, and allows players to be completely free to play if they wanted to, and I remember Fortnite's battlepass costing around $10, now its around $8, which you can buy the crew pass for about $12 that comes with the battle pass AND extra content AND a month pass to Rocket League's battlepass. Although the crew one is a subscription, but still, you get a lot out of the battlepass alone, and a few extra dollars gets you way more.
I'm just saying that if they were focused more on gameplay, content (not recolors), bug fixes, etc. and less on recolors, overpriced items and events, there would be a lot of players who would see worth in buying things. Once Apex released, I fully stopped playing Fortnite, this was mainly due to the movement and not wanting to keep up with two battlepasses. Recently, I started playing Fortnite again as my friends had long since switched over and been asking me to play, to which I've finally gave in. I bought the crew pass at the tail end of last season, and bought a friend the battle pass for the current season, (the Greek gods one). I don't care about the game's cosmetics, but I saw it was worth spending the $12, having fun with friends, and buying the next season's pass with the V-Bucks the current season's pass gives me. When I'm done playing, I can always save 1k V-Bucks for when I care again, or gift items to friends like I did when I quit to go play Apex.
Apex doesn't have that "this is worth it" feeling. Sure, I've bought the battlepass, 3 skins, (Wraith Voidwalker, a recolor for Lifeline, and one for Valkyire), and some packs, along with legend editions, (which some were gifted), yet all of it felt kinda like a waste. The skins we buy tend to get replaced by better ones which cost more money, the battlepass is kinda lame, collection events is just recolors designed to drain wallets, etc.
I was VERY surprised that Fortnite's money system was a drop in a bucket for so much content. There was a set in the store called "Deadeye" for 2000 V-Bucks, or $20. In Apex, that's JUST a legend or gun skin, but in Fortnite, this was a set with a skin that has styles and a lot more, such as a pickaxe and even a Lego character version to play in Lego Fortnite.
*THIS* is what I meant by "Apex doesn't have the "its worth it" feeling. Everything is too expensive for next to nothing that gets a recolor or replaced, while other games like Fortnite just goes "have fun!"
Dumb people buy desthboxes, what we can do, nothing. If you Are dumb you Are dumb simple as that
