I'm not sure about this one but here is what happened to me today, I put the totem in the upper area near the bins in the harvester then I went to attack the enemy squad who were on the ground and after I runned out of health instead of teleporting to the death totem the next thing I saw is me sliding towards my enemies like if I was pulled toward them. I'm still not sure If it was a bug because I could have slided by my mistake.
Perhaps your totem was destroyed close to the time you 'died' ?
Same issue occurred for me, was in death totem shooting another revenant next to his own death totem. His team mate shot me from the side and instead of teleporting to my own death totem i appeared sliding towards the enemy from where i had taken the damage. I reviewed the clip i saved and i was too far away to have slid to them after respawning at my own totem. Tried attaching the video but it tells me file type isn’t supported.
