The problem I have with this is that as a controler player (on pc) I can't move in a deathbox. Which means that if I reload near a deathbox and get sucked into it (when it's on "touch action button") I will get lazered back to the lobby. So unless they also enable movement in deathboxes for controler this would be hugely annoying. (They could of course also nerf movement in deathboxes, but I'd never see that happening.)
They could move the banner into the box as an item, but then picking banners up would be more difficult.
A middle of the road solution would be to mark teammate's deathboxes (for example mark them as green) so that player's don't try to armor swap from their boxes and then get screwed.

I've never play with controller, so I can't understand controller movement problem correctly.
But I think this problem could be solved by allowing separate action button from reload buttons, and allow controller to move when viewing the contents of the death box.
In my oppinion, when adjusting the balance of a game, it should be done by nerf it, unless it's too strong and severely destroys the balance of the game.
And I still don't think we need a banner pickup motion.
I think when we open teammate's deathboxes, banners should be automatically retrieved without motion.
In the current environment, we can't do anything and banner obscures about 1/3 of the screen until the banner pickup motion is completed.
So I think banner pickup motion shold be deleted.
