Don't ban cheaters and toxic players Monitor them

I think the best way to control the cheater and toxic player problem is NOT to ban them permanently... but rather to monitor them and temporarily mute or ban them. That way they can still be rehabilitated and won't be making a new account each time where they will NOT spend any money on it. Let them keep their stuff so they finance the game then you can easily monitor them instead of waiting for someone to find out they are cheating... 1 rock 2 hits.

@IMightKickAssAnother thing they could do is to only put cheaters into lobbies with other cheaters lol so they can aimbot each other all they want or add bot lobbies so the hackers can just kill AI instead of ruining the experience for real players...
@E9ine_AC I still do not think verbal offenses are deserving of a ban in some cases, but other cases they do deserve a temporary ban at the least but permanent is taking it to the extreme

@Palette24caratsCheaters should still be permanently banned, toxic players should just be muted for 24 hrs, 3 days, 7 days, a month, 3 months, 6 months, a year, etc or even permanently muted depending on what was said but still allowed to play the game

@TheApexLegendNub One way to make cheaters harmless is to set a parameter for them not being able to do damages on things other than dummies and breakable objects (drones, Caustic gas tanks...).
This way they don't know what is happening. Plus it allows to monitor them for who they are helping getting levels and so on and break their business.

@TheApexLegendNub Depends what type of cheater... like in real life different crime different penalty. The difference you cant get out of jail but you can create accounts immediatly after a ban. For a no recoil cheater temp ban then monitor then temp ban if continues. For wall hack or headshot hack 1 month ban then monitor then 3 months ban then monitor then 6 months

@Palette24caratsProtecting users from harmful content is very important. Just as social media sites they will prevent cyberbullying and harassment. So video games upholding this is not a bad thing. People need to understand that there are just some things that should not be said to people. A stern ban insures this really sticks with them.

@Palette24carats Fact of the matter is EA takes this very seriously. This is something all companies and social media outlets do for a reason. To protect its users. If some of the things in the game were said on FB in terms of hate speech they are banned. The company sets the rules and guidelines and number 5 of the terms of service outlines what is not allowed. If those rules are broken then the punishment will be handed out. It is 2021 not 2000 call of duty days.

@Palette24carats It might be best if matchmaking puts cheaters against cheaters, so they can ruin each other's time, instead of legit player's time.

@E9ine_ACDoes EA really take it seriously? So far I have only seen evidence for arbitrary rules and even more arbitrary punishment. I am pretty sure EA does not go around banning all the offensive names and clan names. Half the player base would need to create new accounts if the rules are actually enforced.

Feel free to search in-game for tags such as (NMSL). Feel free to search up what that means in Mandarin Chinese. I have also seen (LAPD), to some people they might find that offensive. Where is the limit on these terms?

I also have the question on why are games like South Park on Origin as recently as 2017. There a plenty of what some would deem as offensive and even blasphemous in the game and franchise. So does EA also endorse this? In countries like Indonesia, homosexuality is illegal and transgenders are outlawed, yet there are characters in Mass Effect, Apex Legends who would fit in those categories. I am just looking for a bit of consistency in these cold responses.
