Double Tap Trigger Hop-Up on EVA-8

Is it just me, or does the Double Tap Trigger Hop-Up slow down the fire rate of an EVA-8 if you have a Purple Shotgun Bolt? I've tried using one with and without the Hop-Up, and I feel like I can dish out way more DPS without Double Tap since the time in between shots with the double tap feel like it's a Shotgun without a bolt attachment. Maybe that's the intention since it fires two shots at once, or maybe it's a bug, or, again, maybe it's just me, but I really feel like this hop-up hinders the EVA-8 more than buff it....

@jokool_aid The double tap does slow down the fire rate, but the trade off is that you get more burst damage. It kind of makes it more like the pk.

@jokool_aid I think it's the 3rd burst that shows the benefit of the Double Tap. On an EVA 8 without, let's say you could get 4 shots off in the space of 1 second. With the Double Tap you get that 5th or maybe 6th shot landing in the same space of time. I think. I find in close combat situations, you usually only need the the first 3 to knock down an enemy, and having the Double Tap makes that faster. Again, I think...?

I can really agree with you.me and my friends will enter a building with 3 shotie bolts 3 double taps and 3 eva 8s and when we are done loot ing the building there will always still be 3 double taps.
