EA Supports and Encourage Player to be Toxic in Voice Chat.

I didn't want to post this but it is getting on my nerves. I joined a Ranked solo Queue with randoms on Apex Legends recently and I stumbled upon a Chinese player and he was super toxic because he started screaming and harassing us in Voice chat in Chinese Language due to him getting Knocked down early in the fight. He started screaming at his Microphone calling us Names and stuff. At the end all of us got wiped out and it was so frustrating when we were trying to focus on the fight. He kept shouting in chinese saying how terrible we are [Edit - Admin.] I tried to send a Dispute to EA regarding the Hateful Speech and it was declined a couple of times.

I know EA is trying to protect and create a much Healthier player base and community. Plus I know I should do better and not replying to him to begin with, but why the hell is EA only monitoring Text Chat where the guy using Voice Chat being toxic got away without any repercussions. How is this even Fair ?!

I did not record any of my games because I play Apex Legends casually just for fun, and I never even flame my teammates because usually I play Apex Legends with my friends only. Right now my request for unbanning my account is getting declined over and over again. I have spent thousands of Hours playing Apex Legends and even started playing Apex Legends when it first launched and my account is totally gone and wiped away due to a random Chinese guy flaming me in voice chat and I got Banned for 2 words I wrote .... This is Extremely Outrageous

  • well I am trying and still trying with a dispute for the Ban. They kept declining my request even though I explained to them in detail of the situation. I just can't believe EA created a Terms of Service is protecting the perpetrator and Penalizing the Victim. This just proof that EA is encouraging people to flame other players verbally where it wont be monetized.

  • Hey, got the same issue got a warning letter from EA and write a letter to them but they decline it

    Because of this setence
"he run =- correct ppl run = shabi?"

so i was asking the china player that scolded me Shabi(Stupid/Idiot) ur guildmate ran away to heal is right but i ran away to heal deserve to be call shabi(stupid/idiot)

so i got a warning letter for this setence , wrote to ea to clarify the issue. Cause the china player who report me uses voice chat to scold me so i reply him with the ingame chat. so i have no proof. They decline my letter without any info on why they decline it.

So disappointed in EA. So is EA supporting player to scold other player using voice chat so that the other player without the game record can continue to get insult/ get banned if we try to talk back?

Duuude!! Oh my god !! absolutely man!! At first I tried to be reasonable with the EA help center, acknowledging my mistake and owning up to it. Apologizing that I should be a better person and should at least mute or stay calm or ignore them. While explaining to them what was the incident that got me to write the hateful speech so that they could be more reasonable with the penalty / punishment with a suspension instead of a Ban because it wasn't out of the blue or intentionally being toxic to an innocent player.

If EA gave a suspension for a month or week. I would absolutely be cool with it, since I did violate the User Agreement and should take this as a reminder to not ever entertain the player that is being toxic over the Voice Chat. But a Ban is absolutely Unreasonable since the Chinese player got away with no repercussions due to him using Voice chat. With them declining my Ban Disputer over and over again just proof that EA SUPPORTS players to be toxic over Voice Chat. In my opinion the voice chat toxicity is much more disruptive to the gameplay experience than a person trying to spam nonsense in chat where we can totally not read it and still play the game.

  • Yea man , i wish they would copy the whole chat log to show me , i wonder if i even uses any vulgarity to deserve such warning letter.

Yea i dun think anyone deserve a ban over game like apex. I see 2 teammate quarrel and both get quiet and continue play . overall game ended they will go different game dun see any reason why is there a need to banned unless the player toxic to everyone at almost 80% of his game , then yea a banned seem reasonable.

oh well , they should just remove the chat/voice system ingame if they want a peaceful community. and if player wanna chat they are force to use discord then.

Banning a person for intentional Toxicity is fine. But in both of our situation, we were playing casually and having fun but a toxic guy screaming at his Microphone disrupting your gameplay experience, causing you to be distracted and mad.. At the end he got away being a toxic player and we got Ban for replying to him. EA has a team of people monitoring these dispute they should at least read through or dispute message and try to understand the situation and give out a proper punishment.

If they proceed to decline my dispute for the account Ban. It just show that EA actually encourage and supports player to just be toxic through voice chat.

  • Yeap, like no effort given on their reply to debate on what really happen and just based on a report and the chatlog, if it stated both side got the warning letter at least it feel reasonable.

Just got another Decline from EA for the Dispute of Ban. I don't know what's the point them having a dispute when they didn't do anything and kept replying me like an AI ...
