Easy way to get rid of aimbot cheaters

Respawn Entertainment, i am not a developer, but i don't get why is so hard to get rid of cheaters, while you have lots of opportunities to do so.

What is the problem with finding out cheaters using only statistics, data analysis, etc?

Just give every new account opportunity to land X bullets and analyse it - if hit rate is over Y%, then more than Z% (it should be around 90%+) is done to the head, it's 100% cheater with aimbot. Instantly ban them.

Analyze every game, so they can't manipulate numbers in case you have rats in developer team that gonna give out info to hack devs.

Like, due to footstep sound effects, wallhack in this game doesn't give you that much power same as body-aimhack (at least, you have a chance to win vs body aimbot). Just deal with aimbot users, they are unbeatable, but shot analysis can easily deal with them. If cheaters switch to body aimbot, it's still possible to find them via stats. No player in the world have more than 9X (95 or 98% is my guess) hitrate. What is the problem? Did i missed something?

    today i just got killed by aimhacks in 3/4 of my recent games
  • Your idea would only nab a very small % of cheaters who are 100% blatant and screwing the game. one of my cheaters that killed me today was shooting at people through the wall... that would bring down their hit % to normal... like 10% of his shots hit so from a stats perspective it looked regular. If they were to create a ray for each shot and if it passes through a wall or ground (the bullet stopping of course) and then through a player consistently that would be a red flag. Especially if they were head shots. The problem cheaters are the ones who do their very best to hide it so they are cool to other people.

  • I don't know such cheaters. Most of them are kids that pretty easy to find - they move like newbs, do weird stuff, like aiming people through the walls. I have lots of ideas how you can find cheatrs just with single statistics data. I just don't understand why it hasn't been implemented ages ago. Maybe it's some kind of Virus-Antivirus business (anti-virus companies make their own viruses), like anti-cheat developers will lose all money, since looking for cheats on players' PCs is stupid idea from the start, since you can fight cheaters using data on your own servers and you don't need third-party soft.
