EVA-8 or Mastiff......

Hi guys, looking to see other peoples views on this topic. I’m a fan of having a shotgun as a secondary. Aggressive pushing is my playstyle (I play crypto and my brother plays rev-duos) and finding shotguns are a decent answer in most up close engagements.

however, here are my thoughts on each weapon:

EVA-8:

consistent, fires faster, quicker reload, double tap makes it horrific, buck shot with good mass.

Short ranged however and less forgiving. 

MASTIFF:

high damage, longer range than its counterpart, forgiving to a degree, requires a bit more accuracy. Longer reload time but requires less attachments.

So I’ve come to a personal conclusion that I think I would rather the EVA-8. I seem to do better with it and feels more consistent. Too many times I’ve ADS shot a mastiff at someone’s head and got 14 damage. I feel the spread on the mastiff could do with some work or maybe have a better integrated sight?. EVA-8 always performs for me. 

what are your thoughts?

    I personally prefer the Mastiff. Longer range and hipfire seems more reliable. EVA-8 feels like a peashooter.

    @SinShadow9 I’d say the EVA is more forgiving, due to it’s ROF and mag size. Also the spread.

    Sure, you can tag an enemy with the Mastiff, but if it’s hip-fire or you’re off, then you’ll get fairly minimal damage.

    @Sir_Named Agree, plus eva with hopup is very good close range.
    Eva with purple bolt can do a lot of damage quickly where as Mastiff is a lot slower but rewards accuracy.

    @SinShadow9totally depends on your play style. In close combat both of them are good, especially if you have a double tap trigger on EVA8. but for medium range I found EVA8 deals more damage than Mastiff, I landed 45 damage with EVA8 in medium range, but it never exceeded 13 in the same range with Mastiff (again, it could be my playing style).

    +The main advantage of Mastiff is that you can shoot while reloading.
    +The main advantage of EVA8 is circle shape pellets spreading pattern.

    +If you rush more, take Mastiff.

    +If you keep your safe distance and heal with cell and syringes constantly, take EVA8 with double tap on it (double tape let you cover and area in the shape of "8" in the mid range, instead of just a single circle)
