Fair solution to the leaver situation in casual

I dont think we should be forced by threat of punishment to stay in a game. This would create a super toxic environment if you are forced to stay in a game with players that you despise. But I also recognize that the leaver situation is a bit ridiculous right now. Most people don't even wait until dead but leaves as soon as things start to get unfavorable for your team, probably to keep up their K/D stats. That is another discussion entirely but its actually mind-boggling that Respawn hasn't made it so it counts as a death when you leave the game early when they apparently KNOW from the data collected that like 90% of the server leaves early.

But back to the subject; we know the familiar sight:

First image: A random teammate Gibraltar runs ahead  (obviously to be first to get the best loot) and runs into an enemy squad and starts fighting. Me and the third random Caustic, who was closer to him when the fight starts, both runs towards him to help but as soon as the Gibbe realizes that he will die, he just leaves, which lead to the Caustic also dying for trying to help him. 

Second image: A premade of two high elo premades (4k banners etc) chooses the hottest drop location on the map. As soon as one of them gets knocked, BOTH of them just leaves the game, literally 10 seconds after we landed.

 Bottom line is that this, totally unregulated early leaving-culture just leads to one thing; I, as a solo queuer must also act like a total *, only caring for myself and also insta leave and the it becomes a bad circle of this behavior.  I guess I would be OK with this IF they put solo queuers in seperate lobbies, because then the early leaving would be fair but since Respawn (face palm) thinks its a good and fair idea to mix full 3-man premades with squads of three randoms, then I think something needs be done.

So here is my suggestion:

Let there be 100% transparency about peoples behavior and let people reap what they sow from their behavior! And this is achieved by these changes:

  • In legend selection, display the number of times each players left a match early the last 10 matches or so, like 3/10 etc.
  • You are allowed to leave the match during legend selection WITHOUT adding to this leaver stats
  • When playing with a 3-man premade squad, your leaver stats will not be affected, either increasing or decreasing..

By implementing these small changes, nothing really has changed. You are still allowed to leave or stay in a match... But the difference is that you have to live with the consequences of your actions. It will create natural incentives to behave in a good way if you want to be meet with similar behavior.  Because now, a player showing "10/10" will probably have most player leaving the squad in the legend selection, forcing them to play most matches alone and those players who are fine playing with such player, probably also them "10/10"-players, wont have their game ruined because of it.... And since it only shows the last 10 matches, its also easy for anyone to rapidly change their behavior and start getting teammates again...  


And now people might say "but sometimes early quitting is totally justified since my random jumped solo and let me and the third random die".. Yes this is true but the thing is that this system would allow you to leave once in a while since no one will care if you have like 2/10,  3/10 even 4/10.... And if you just keep playing and generally not leave a match early, your leaver stats will always be in that ball park.. Its the 8/10, 9/10, 10/10 people that people might wanna avoid.
