for the love of god, don't add battle pass

maybe that's the worse decision you can make.

instead i suggest not having a level limit and then having pacing between them where it doesn't get harder the more you level up. on top of my mind the league of legends leveling system is similar

Really? It's a FREE game. They need to make money somehow. They won't survive on apex packs alone.

In fact, packs completely fund both of their esports leagues as well.

That has nothing to do with anything.

Those games are years old, and the packs still generate so much revenue that they have multi-million dollar pots for their tournaments. You clearly have no grasp of how much money micro transactions bring in.

So that initial surge of cash has zero impact on their wallet? The business model that was chosen for this game was a proven concept. Why would you a leg off of a 4 legged horse? Fortnite was so successful with the Battle Pass that PUBG finally conceded and followed suite. Apex Legends is following suite right from the beginning. It's the sensible thing to do and doesn't impact the gameplay negatively in any way. Don't like the idea of paying for a Battle Pass? Don't buy it and continue to play the game as you have thus far.

what are you chatting about, battle passes are pretty great, and they award alot of items for 10 bucks if you can't afford 10 dollars then just don't buy it . It doesn't hurt the game and at the same time it support the developers..You're too late anyway , battle pass is coming in March 1st, whether you like it or not

God I forget how ready this generation is to just take it with micro transactions. What happenes when you force it for so long. People start thinking gouging is normal and start to like it. Gets kind of Stockholm like

lol i hate micro transactions hence why i love battle passes..you pay and you get stuff you want, if you dont like the cosmetics or challenges in the battle pass just skip it. Battle passes are needed in free games or the game wont be supported for long.

You can buy a $60 game and then $1-20 for a single weapon/character skin and $20-40 for an expansion or you can download a F2P Battle Royale with free updates and pay $10-20 for a battle pass where you can earn multiple skins at the cost of what...playing the game you intended to play anyway?
