It's already strong without any add-ons. It easy melts anyone pushing you with good range mid to long. The double tap makes this gun impossible to get away from. You literally 4 tap anything other than red if you get headshots. Body is 6. Absolutely insane how fast this SNIPER melts you. Double tap needs to go and the fire rate needs to be slower
If i get melted round 1 with a scoupe I will typically just give up on the match because between the stock scout and anyone with a aim addon its a joke to try. Completely ruins the match how bad the lasering is with this gun. I can't even hit with a scope as good as some people are tactically popping off full shield 1 hit snipes and 1 hit drops in the first round of arena. I don't know who is calling the shots for apex but my god, fire them already.

Yeah G7 is really good, not sure if they buffed it when it came back to ground but even hipfire of this thing is insane.
Its not even that good with double-tap, semi auto is much more effective I would say. Its absolutelly better than 50-50 even tho it can look balanced on paper, it certainly isnt. :D
G7 should have been (should be moved to) assault-rifle class instead of marksman to get its hipfire reduced same as headshot damage, fire rate of this thing feels like assault rifle anyway.
I think it's fine. TTK at range should be good. 3030 is even better if your good with it. If you had a G7 and I had a 3030 I'd melt you for sure.
Only thing that needs a nerf is the wingman.
I agree. I love the G7, but I actually think skull piercer would be a better fit. Double tap trigger makes this gun awkward in so many ways.
I'm surprised about this thread. I have mained the G7 with my Re45 combo for over 8 seasons. Nobody was more upset about the length of time the G7 was imprisoned for, and I doubt there was anyone more excited come season 14, mainly because the G7 was being released.
However, since its return, It has never felt the same yet. Seems like a shell of what it once was. The only other gun worse for no hit reg than this new released G7, is the flatline. So I have basically abandoned it now. Seems like a pointless gun considering its former glory. Not sure if its just me or if Respawn tampered with it in some way but dam, what happened to it!
And IMO, the double tap hop up is a hinder to this weapon. I find its only good on, for long range...aim for the dead center mass (chest) and the second shot is a guarantee headshot - let the rifle settle and repeat. Other than that scenario... single shot mode is far far superior in every way. The last few times I went toe to toe with another combatant wielding a G7 with double tap on against my G& without double tap....I won every time.
Just my opinion. Sounds like for others the G7 is still very viable weapon. Kudos!
