Game crashes after about 1 hour of gameplay

As the title says, my game crashes after 1 hour of gameplay or so. I have already reinstalled the game, reinstalled windows. I also use MSI Afterburner so overheating is not the problem, I just upgraded my RAM to 16GBs. Does anyone have any idea what could cause the problem https://showbox.bio/  https://tutuapp.uno/ ? If so I would really appreciate the help!

Thanks everyone!

  • @jeff9870 I've had this issue before and from what I understood at the time was that it was Apex throwing errors that my PC didn't really know how to process and then after about an hour, my PC gave up and shutdown the game to protect itself.

In other words, Apex isn't "compatible" with your system, even though it should be. After my PC had updates, (I use AMD Radeon), the issue went away, along with some visual lag that I was having.

Try upgrading or downgrading your drivers. Its one of those things you shouldn't have to do, but Apex's current game engine isn't great.
  • @jeff9870 Hey there, try checking in the bios for your gpu settings. A lot of them come over clocked out the box. There is a chance due to the amount of time you get to play the gpu is overheating to the point of needing to close applications to preserve itself.

This is not normal and would rule the game out as the cause due to you being able to physically play it for enough matches to show it does work fine. There is something on your end closing applications to stop damage being done to it. I also use afterburner and have seen some heating issues here and there randomly. Honestly though the hardware is doing what it was designed to do and thats save itself and closing the application putting it at risk.

@Midnight9746 This information is not proper IMO. If you meet the specs on the website for what's required to play Apex then their system will run the game. Those are the bare minimal requirements. If they meet those then their machine is "Compatible" They do not need to downgrade or upgrade if those requirements are met.

What the game can not account for is pc settings or hardware settings. This is not on the game this is a user issue at that point. The game has no idea what you have done with the hardware or what came out the box.

Overall informing players their pc is not good enough and needs to upgrade or downgrade to play the game if their requirements are met then its spreading miss information that can cause a lot of confusion and anger from some.

@E9ine_AC My PC fully meets the requirement, in fact it's above the requirements. I had this issue until Windows updated and I don't think it was a PC setting or anything like that. Just a version of Windows or AMD software that conflicted with Apex.

I've tried changing graphic settings and other related settings, but when that didn't work I changed it back. Then when new updates came out, it started to work again. Most likely the case was that the graphic drivers that were provided by AMD at the time had some bugs that AMD hadn't fixed yet.

    This was my experience.

Before I had the issue, I didn't change any kind of PC or AMD setting. Apex updated, and I noticed there was issues. It happened for a few weeks or so. I've tried changing settings at this point, but as I mentioned before, nothing worked, so I changed it back. I've downgraded the version of AMD, and then notice Apex was working. Once both Apex and AMD had updates again, both were working with each other just fine.
