At least in Silver you can move up pretty quickly, but in Gold you're stuck in purgatory with odd few decent team mates. You don't get enough points in Gold. I carried my team before to top 10... I got 1200+ damage, x2 respawns etc etc... I get a miserly 24 points... what a waste! It's demoralising.
kills>damage, they add up the rank points, Silver isn't easy either you're basically closer to the bottom of the barrel than in gold, like I said the season just started for ranked so you might be just impatient, stick to your plan or do something else, rank resets at start are hectic and lot of players want to get out of low ranks asap so they tryhard more, have patience compadre, just because climbing is slow doesn't mean it's not climbing: almost 50% of my games are +0 rank points or -12+ rank points in silver so if you get more points than you lose you're probably in way better situation than I am...
? Silver is easy. Gold is HELL. There is no need for Gold to be so hard to get through the ranks. I've played 12 games and I've gone DOWN!!!! It's bloody torture!

I'm sorry man, you sound like that guy that says: "oh I deserve to get instant rankups because I'm really good player", now I'm not trying to have an opinion on your skill I never saw, but every game has it's rule and each ranking system is possible to climb only one way, your part is on how are you climbing and how fast but just because you are complaining that you can't get a rankup off of one game doesn't mean they are going to make it somehow possible, climbing a whole rank in one game is just too fast and inconsistant...
