[Guide] How to report users and cheaters

{Thank you for pinning this thread :eahigh_file: }

Currently there are over 60 separate threads in the general feedback forum alone about reporting players or cheaters so I thought i'd put together solutions i've found on the web and in these threads in a central place so hopefully people can send their reports to the right places. I'll add to this if anyone else has any links/tips on how to report cheaters/players.

Please do not post below your 'examples' of cheats or post names/user ID's or people you feel are bad players/cheats, use the tools described below. The more we use these tools to report genuine cheaters the more likely we are to have an impact.

Thank you.

Cheaters

{EDIT 20/03/19}

Players can now report cheaters they encounter in-game and it’ll be sent directly to Easy Anti-Cheat. You can do this from either the spectate view after dying or when looking at your team’s Banner Cards in the Squad tab.

Screenshots of where to find the report option in the spoiler below

CM Edit

Update with some info on toxicity reporting.

Fighting Toxicity

Apex Legends is a place for you to join forces with other players where you can express yourself, your individuality, and have fun. But it’s not just your space, it’s everyone’s. Harassing, bullying, threatening, offending, or any toxic behavior towards others is not acceptable—ever. That’s why we’ve recently updated Apex Legends with a way for you to report toxicity in-game.

When you sign up for your EA Account, you agree to play by fair rules. We’re counting on you to keep toxicity out of the dropship, the ring, and everywhere in between. Read more about how we're building healthy communities for all gamers.

WHAT DOES REPORTING LOOK LIKE?

Post match you can report players using the button listed at the bottom of the screen.

After choosing to report a player, we’ll ask you  to choose a reason for reporting.

If you select Cheating, we’ll ask you to pick from a list of common cheating behaviors.

If you pick Other, we’ll  send you to the player’s Origin page.

From here you can pick from a list of reasons you’re reporting this player.

    Hey all, please do not share links to any cheats you may see as doing so is technically a breach of the AHQ User Rules and Guidelines.

    From here on out, any sharing of videos or naming of users and accusing them of cheating or linking to cheating sites will result in bans.

    If you are in game and suspect a user of cheating then please report them by following the steps in this link:  https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/apexlegends/contact/report/

    We take all reports very seriously and will fully investigate.

  • I completely agree. I’ve been in games where someone on my team cheated I reported it they went on to pinch and kick 18 people deathbkxes without damage as I deliberately killed myself with thermite. I nkthced at least 20 people spectated him at the time and were likely reporting him. Did it work? No, because 2 games later with same username and character he was an enemy stalking me in lobby and we both got to final 2 I didn’t notice the name until he Kramer killed me through a building wall that had no windows then it flipped to him as champion standing outside and below holding the Kramer, he literally shot me tbrough the concrete floor.
    EA OR RESPAWN never banned the guy from over a dozen reports,

    Absolutely useless!.

    and if people have  say 30+ kills and take like 10 damage from a full clip of spitfire without a. Miss and then a switch to r99 and some shots and get reported in game it never works!.

    people need to boycott this game until EA sorts out their priorities!

    On the contra ray tehy in,y temp ban serious cheaters hardly hear of perma bans and do nothing when people report blatant cheaters within game who shoot through walls, use aim not, take no damage, spawn weapons or armour. They sit on tenir fat * and do NOTHING to the cheaters. The games dying finally. It’s what it deserves after years of abuse by neglect ive ea and respawn for not getting to grips with cheaters

  • I report players on the regular and indontnthink anything is done with the reports. Maybe just something to make us "normal" players feel better. It feels like The developers of Apex could care less about average players and cater to the cheaters.

    Not being able to disable cross play is a big indi actor. In no world should PC players be able to play Xbox players when they will consistently have the advantage.

    Reporting works.

    I reported a player in game for Cheating on Friday the 27th of December and on the 29th I got a thank you e-mail from EA for helping them to take action in order to keep the game fair.

    So yes, reporting does work.

  • What's the point of these "reporting guides" if nothing is done about it? I reported 2 players for harassment that goes much further than a game trash talk. They prejudice remarks that are actually a crime in my country. I got an email saying that the EA team didn't find anything wrong and nothing will be done about it.
