Hi, I have a pretty simple issue. I have a number of friends that I play Apex with, but occasionally I just want to play alone. In such instances, I would like to appear offline so that my friends don't feel I am avoiding them. Is there a way I can do this? I play on PS4 and even when I set my status to "appear offline" on my PlayStation, I still seem to show on my friends list within the Apex application.

This issue seems to have only started now in season 16. I know anyone I add cross-platform can always see when I'm online (which is also really frustrating and I seriously wish Respawn would add the option to appear offline within Apex itself).
But, specifically, my friends who are also on PlayStation always used to appear with green tags on my friends list within Apex. I think since the start of season 16, they have now started appearing with blue tags. I don't know what this means but it seems like I can always see when they are online regardless of their PlayStation status and they can always see when I'm online regardless of my PlayStation status.

Well, then Respawn decided to give this the audio treatment, and basically remove it. Probably not intended, but... you know.

I believe green means they’re online but not playing Apex. Blue means they’re playing Apex.
Appear Offline or Invisible mode has never been properly addressed since the Steam version launch (2020). There are actually multiple discussions related to the issue, but the players who seem to care the privacy are pretty minor to the development scheme. We are getting into almost four years of a negligence. I don't think it will be ever fixed.
