Even when presenting this option to those kind of players, will it actually resolve it?
These users could still queue for the other mode and cause this exact scenario.
Randomness will always be a factor, you have the tools to get rid of this factor.
You can play with a squad, LFG or just with friends, it doesn't always take up that much time.
(This would also possibly increase queue times due to splitting the queues, the increase cannot be measured yet, so it's something to look out for)

I assumed in this case that the user was referring to a solo queue where you only get matched with other players that are solo on their team.
It's been quite confusing as the same term (Solo Queue) is used for both these things:
- Solo, squads of 1 throughout the entire lobby
- Solo queue players getting matched with other solo queue players (Still 2 or 3 squads)
Hence the confusion, so the arguments weren't really fitting for this exact thread.
Though do note that if there weren't any issues with having a Solo Queue that it would've been implemented long ago.
A long time back they tested this and their data indicated that the solo queue mode just wasn't the right fit for the game, so they decided to take it off.
Users could technically make use of the no fill option though this might make it harder for them to play the game.
Though then again, it's a team game, not a solo game, so that's to be expected.
But then again, it's also not guaranteed that these players will make use of the solos mode, as there are plenty of reasons why it would be better to play with a team when you'd like to do your own thing.
So if it's not guaranteed to resolve the issue, why would you want to implement it?
Just because people want it doesn't make it the best choice to make, Respawn has their data and has decided to do it this way so far, I honestly don't see them changing their minds again.
Splitting the queue shouldn't be done unless absolutely necessary, currently I cannot find that it's absolutely necessary.

Seeing as apex already has a no fill option for trios and duos (that these players still don't use) I can only assume they meant an actual solo game mode being added. (Unless they removed it and I didn't know)
Correct apex is a team game, but hardly anyone treats it that way, and they sure as hell don't back it up when it comes to the match making.
Those who get their team slaughtered on purpose because they don't want to deal with a weak team? Splitting off from your team to run lone wolf? Quitting as soon as you get knocked? None of that is team play and they do absolutely nothing about it. So 'It's a team game' isn't a reason to not add it.
It might not completely solve the issue but what is the actual harm in adding it? None. It's another game mode players have to choose from. A game mode other brs successfully have incorporated into their game play.
Having a solo mode will no longer give players the excuses they have now as to why they don't solo que, and therefore they can actually be held accountable for game throw, because let's face it, if they really wanted to fix the lone wolf non no fill solo players, they'd actually hold them accountable for it.Que times might need to be adjusted, but if it makes the player base happy, do it. Not everyone wants to play on a team. Not everyone wants to play solo. But if you solo que in duos or trios, unless you're some sort of God at the game you're not really going to have a great chance at surviving very long. Your options are to constantly hide or attempt a third party. Where's the fun in that?
Even then, with the * matchmaking apex has, solos at this point will just be a nightmare of uneven lobbies.
So while yes I think there's needs to be a solo mode in the game, there is the more important matter of fixing the matchmaking.
