Aim assist is alright, but I've seen terrible console players, and know the base line of a good/decent one. Overall, people deploy strikepacks, xim, etc. and this is the issue. Sure aim assist reduces recoil and whatnot, but these mods and scripts completely removes the recoil, and abuses the aim assist. Otherwise, agreed.
60% aim assist should be a story mode/campaign mode feature if this game had one.
no form of aim assist should EVER be acceptable in a pvp situation, regardless of game.
- Midnight97464 years agoHero+@Android_Nana I understand the issue you're implying, as far as I understand, consoles have framerate issues or something like that, so 60% is suppose to help with that. I can agree it could be much lower though. I said "alright", as in most just use strikepacks, and those who don't, are just terrible at aiming. Like, we're talking about they get a mag fully emptied into them, before they put the cursor over the enemy player.
- 4 years ago@Android_Nana You don't know how aim assist works if you are complaining about it being the issue for you losing. Agreed on everything else but as someone who plays M & K after years of controller, aim assist is nothing.
- 4 years ago@Android_Nana Consoles / controllers in pc lobbies are the real issue, not aa. Why don't people get this? They want to nerf an entire playerbase's platform who never wanted mixed lobbies in the 1st place. Makes no sense.

@Sand_spitter Agreed there's no need for these petty shots. I'm perfectly happy being in a console only lobby and hate the idea of dealing with M/KB so I respect that PC doesn't want to mix with my input either. Not sure why telling other systems what they do or don't need feels right to some players.

@heme725I get that matchmaking would be much slower being in our own input lobbies, but the issue I'm having is that there would be a 1 PC, 2 Console player team where it's usually one of the two things:
1) PC player has cheats, and they're actively using them with the console players acting like noobs, until the PC player is knocked. Then they flip on the strikepack or whatever they're using.
2) The PC player is the noob one, activating cheats when one console player goes down, while the two consoles are just steam rolling the match.
Sure there are these teams, where no one is cheating and a PC player really is playing with their console friends fairly, unfortunately people want to cheat, so I rarely see these legit teams.
No idea if console lobbies had gotten more chill since the cross play, but over on PC, cheating became much more rampant as multiple platforms can be on the same team. We've gone from one here and there, to a lot of them everywhere. It's mostly Gibraltars on controllers though. Season 0 hits differently, as when you saw a speed hacker, it was more funny than annoying, at least for me it was.
Yet agreed, aim assist isn't the issue. Console players just don't have the same mobility as a PC player, (we all already knew that), that's why no console lobby is a PC lobby unless a console player teams up with a PC player, then that console player is in a PC lobby.
I'm fine with cross play (with the opt out option for everyone), if strikepacks, xim, chronus, etc. are actually being dealt with and we get better servers. For now, I'm just seeing console smurphs, on top of everything else.

@Android_NanaYou're right. Aim assist players are defending aim assist because they don't want to lose their aim assist advantage. And this advantage is not healthy for competitive play.

Electronic Arts net worth as of January 10, 2022 is $36.45B.
You think that they could afford a real anti cheat system .
