Coming back after a 6 months break after Seer broke the game, then Ash, and the first death I encounter was done by console. I mean it's starting to really get annoying. Intentionally took a break to calm myself down a bit and take a bit of a distance from the game so I can freshen up my opinion. But out of all ways to go, this had to be the one. Close-range encounter with a controller player, where aim assist is the strongest it seems.
I am born in 1991 year. I remmember the time when PS1 came out (there were no Xboxes and other consoles besides SEGA, ATARI etc etc). People since then try to make "Aim based" games for consoles and let me tell you... that my dear friends is a COMPLETELY FUTILE ATTEMPT to sell a given product to a group of... how to say it without provoking anybody... to a group of "not so experianced G-A-M-E-R-S". Plain and simple - AIM GAMES are M-E-N-T to be played by M-O-U-S-E and K-E-Y-B-O-A-R-D. Period. Ever since Blood 2: The Chosen, Counter-Strike 1.6, CoD 1, Medal of Honor, *insert 100 games that todays.... "people below 20 years old" havent even heard of*. ANY debate over this is plain and simple completely pointless. Its like saying that a Donkey is faster than Ferrari. The Black is really White. Well it is not. Plain and simple.

It's not even comparable. If your a pc player and you can not kill console players. You might as well quit now cause you will never stack up to actual pc players. My friend has a PC and the precision is ridiculous. The control they have with a mouse is so perfect compared to my thumbstick which my finger can easily slide around on making me miss many shots. When pc players complain about console players it's just embarrassing because it's the exact opposite when It comes to advantages.
- @Android_Nana Any helping hands must be removed in this game. Or crossplay removed.

Wouldnt it be better to just get rid of the controller option at all ?
Ends endless discussions about Strikepacks , AimAssist , Crossplay and leaves the option of selling Bangalore themed Keyboards and Octane Mice to Console Players since they all have a fricken USB Port to use the preffered type of controls in FPS games. - RaginSam4 years agoSeasoned Ace@r1ggedgame Of course there should be controller support. That’s not the problem.
Aim Assist has been tuned so aggressively in every modern shooter to compete with MnK because of cross play. That’s the problem. Aim Assist shouldn’t be a thing on PC. You want to play with a controller, go for it, but why should you get assistance for picking the less accurate input device?!
The other part of the problem is cheating and how sophisticated it has gotten. There’s a ton of people low key cheating. If you spectate them, they’re notified and and can toggle them off, or change settings. Imagine how good you would be if you had wall hacks or with your aim being cleaned up by 5%. Every time you missed by a pixel or two are now hits. @DaleFox2012That's not an argument. I'm not about to cry and scream about aim assist, but acknowledge that it's POWERFUL. Turn your aim assist off for one game, you'll fail miserably, obviously, because the aim assist is HUGE. You can easily have poor aim like myself, plug a controller in, and consistently get 800 - 900 more damage every single game and land twice as many shots.
That doesn't mean that I think aim assist needs to be deleted, every game ever made for controllers has aim assist, and you've only got two little sticks for aiming so it's clearly going to be more difficult. But I do wish controller players would stop just glossing over aim assist. Aim assist is absolutely massive, particularly in lower ranks or pubs, you're not doing anything wrong using it or anything, so acknowledge that you're getting a little help with that aim...I'd say that aim assist is overpowered, however it is a lot harder to control the recoil, flicks are impossible, it's also more difficult to hit headshots (I'm completely excluding any strikepack/cronus, etc. users). I assume that most of the complaining has spread like wildfire from the competitive PC players, however even the best of the best at apex are mediocre when it comes to aiming. Headshots counter any LEGIT controller player. If you looked at some of the "best" controller players, most of them aim only at the body of the player. However, this does assume that one is somewhat good at aiming.
It's not about the Aim Assist, and no, the PC no longer has the advantages against modded controllers, strike packs, etc...
Controllers on PC and Cross Play on PC needs to go, it's bad!
75% of all games I play have extreme cheating going on. It was bad enough with all the Aimbot, PSIlent, Wallhacks on the PC, now combining the modded controllers, strikepacks, no recoil, etc... It's just a major mess!
Not to blow my own horn, but I have 2600 hours in this game, I see what's going on, I have enough experience in this game to speak on this matter.

I completely agree about modded controllers, strike packs, macros and such. Countless "competitive" controller players, streamers shamelessly shoot without any recoil while aiming upwards, which is technically impossible on controller. I was really looking forward to LAN ALGS, just to have my point proven. Unfortunately, that was cancelled. I can see, how this, combined with aim assist is a real issue.
However, regular controllers are okay for "casual" games, in my opinion. When it comes to a 1v1, professional PC aimer wins against professional controller player in every case due to reasons listed in my previous post. If a PC player considers oneself a professional player but losses to a controller player it's really only an issue of PC player not having a good enough aim, which is inexcusable.
MnK vs Controller debate has been settled countless times in many different FPS games. Correct me, if I'm wrong, but I think Halo was the only FPS game ever, where controller players came out on top in a competitive setting. But then again, who played Halo? I have never even heard of competitive Halo scene until like half a year ago and I've been playing FPS since Unreal Tourney/Quake all the way into CS1.5, CS1.6, CS:Source, Wolf:ET, Quake Live, COD 4, COD 6, PubG, Apex.
