Inventory Changes Horrific

I'd like to chime in on your most recent changes to inventory changes. So far myself and quite literally EVERYBODY i've talked to about the update absolutely despises the updates you've made to inventory. Ammo is way to hard to carry, med counts have never been more frustrating and despite the main focus of change being grenades it seems like everything is just off balance. When I say off balance what i really mean is "I feel like a bot trying to sort through what I need in game. Im taking way more time then needed to sort out my inventory after a squad wipe and its all due to the overwhelming change you made to med stacks and ammo sizes. Here's my suggestion to you, REVERT MED STACKS to the previous version. If you are intent on keeping inventory the same keep nades and ammo sizes the same. Maybe then this major change would feel more fluent. 

PS quit making changes to quality of life feature that have never been broken, you are literally shooting yourself in the foot. Start focusing on Legend balancing, new maps, and weapons. Thanks!

    Why fix the things people want? when we can just roll a dice in the meeting room to see who has the dumbest idea and then add it to the game.

  • Oh yeh and then they prolly laugh at all the complaints in the forums.

    I think complaints are to the devs something like RP is to the apex player. we are all farming in some way.... :P

  • @DaAceXD I was actually happy with the grenade and ammo change, I've been on the receiving end of grenade spam way too many times so making a higher trade-off between powerful zoning tools and the resource you need to kill an enemy made sense. With a purple bag you can still comfortably carry 5 stacks of ammo, 3 grenades, and 8 stacks of assorted meds. That's 300 rounds of ammo and 3 grenades, which is a comfortable amount in any scenario. If everyone in your squad runs the same 3 nades, that's 9 nades total (which is still a lot) vs. the 18 they'd have pre-nerf. 18 grenades. That's a lot. 

    The meds nerf in my opinion was completely unnecessary. 

  • Since they wanted to do something about the Grenade Spam which is logical maybe they should actually NERF ALL Throwables, they are quite literally OP imo. NERF GRENADES, INCENDIARIES, ARC STARS.... Why not? 

  • It really aint that big of a deal, yall making it seem like its game breaking that they did this. Just get used to how to work the new backpack system. Stop complaining.

    I know there are other posts on this subject, but not enough noise is being made for the amount of absolute horror this update has brought to the game. IF NADES ARE A PROBLEM, NERF ONLY THE NADE STACKS. YOU LITERALLY CAN'T CARRY A SINGLE NADE ANYMORE WITHOUT PUTTING YOURSELF AT RISK. THE MED AND AMMO STACK NERFS ARE INFURIATING. You simply CANNOT safely run a game unless you've got a purple backpack, blue is walking the edge on your ammo supplies. All the changes were unnecessary, and personally I never thought nades were a problem, they're part of the game and therefore something players should be prepared for. However, if nades were being complained about, nerf only the made stacks! I literally CAN'T carry nades anymore, I DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO PICK THEM UP UNLESS I'VE GOT A GOLD BACKPACK! The inventory is very hard to run now, one time I was talking about it in a match and a random, who was new to the game, commented also on how he thought it was strange that the inventory and stacks were so small. He said he felt panicked for loot. Please, please, please change the ammo stacks back to 80, the syringes and shields back to 6, and the medkits and batteries back to 3. Undoing the peacekeeper nerf would be greatly appreciated too, it's gone from balanced into the trashcan for many players.

    @pastaclown and it served zero purpose it still happens every single day. Run wing man / peacekeeper with pruple bag boom gernade heaven. It was a useless update.
  • To simplify the situation : The worse player you are, the more are you affected negatively by the changes. This is not supposed to be an insult to anyone and Im not saying Im super good either but lets face it:

    1) Most high skill player play with a weapon combination including either a Wingman or PK both which only required max 2 ammo stacks. 

    2) Most high skill player prefer to push in and finish an enemy squad fast which makes them less dependent on stacking heals and ammo to survive long trades.

    2) The better player you are, the less ammo you need in your inventory to feel comfortable not to run out in the middle of the fight.

    3) The better player you are, the more people you will kill and give you access to more loot as the game goes on which makes you less dependent on stacking heals and ammo.

    I kinda like the new changes TBH. It took some games to get used to it but now I see the benefits. Honestly, 3 medkits and 3 batteries in ONE stack IS too much. This makes banger long range shots so unrewarding. Before, I could land Wingman shot after shot on range and they just keep healing up. Now I know that me breaking a shield at least is more worth.
