I recently came back to the game after having a 2 months break (was here when it was launched, remember the fudging Wingman and Peecekeepers everywhere ? And now its "Sniper Legends".. I wish we could go back, but thats another topic my bad), and my friend showed me the new stuff.
Dude.. you dont understand. Lifeline has been my main since the very first day (I play a medic in MANY games, or act like one if there's no class available), and I never had a skin that I actually liked and thought was unique and original. So there it is, on my screen, this new skin is GOERGOUS (to me anyway). So I got excited like a kid at Xmas, thinking that I would be able to unlock her by playing the game A LOT. I was ready to grind like crazy, even if I had to open like 10 packs I would do it !! But wait..
My friend Sam then tells me that you can get only TWO PACKS FOR FREE... And I'm like.. "What ?!? Impossible, Respawn wouldnt do that, I know then since titanfall 1". But I WAS WRONG. My faith in Respawn already suffered in Februrary when I realized all the RNG bullcrap that there is in Apex Legends (oh sorry.. "Sniper Legends"), but I still bought the battle passes mainly to support Respawn and give them a bit of money ^^ I dont even like the battle passes that much (they suck compared to Fortnite passes.. sorry BUT IT IS TRUE), and the Lifeline skin that I got from that is just UGLY. I wont ever use that.
Anyway... Now Im thinking really hard about all this. If I play this game, it means that I agreee with the currend sytem, and god knows I REALLY DONT. And I HATE RNG packs, let us at least earn some craft materiels or whataver that allows us to get THE ACTUAL STUFF THAT WE WANT !!!!! Disgusting..
And so very posts in that thread on this forum. i though I'd find like 1000 answers here.. so NO ONE CARES ?!? Good job gamers, as dumb as always and obviously still stupid enough to spend money on those packs.. waoo.. people are so stupid its incredible. Too narrow minded to see that them buying the packs is a reason enough for EA to keep doing it. LOOOL
My favourite game has been Gears of War since the 3rd one. We (the whole community on the forums) kept complaining about the RNG packs so much that they actually changed the way you earn stuff entierly. NO MORE RNG LOOTBOXES, but instead a "tour of duty"' where you unlock stuff BY PLAYING. Of course there's still a shope with like E sports skins and stuff, but the rest can earned OR bought. Take example EA. No more money from me until you changed your system.
PS : EA, what do you think ? You can earn extra money with decisions like that, but you WILL loose players'trust. Is it worth it ?
