Crypto will never replace pathfinder just because of all the advantages you have, but octane will replace wraith because he is so much better to use with all the nerfs shes had.
I doubt anything will be done to pathfinder through into season 5, if anything we'll see another wraith nerf, mirage buff, a few other characters will get a buff, gibby wont be touched (even though he needs a nerf), and other characters will be nerfed. Have you had a look at the new gameplay trailer? Parts of Kings Canyon look really nice!
sure if you run into a player who took their time and mastered the grapple he can be very annoying to trace and nearly impossible to chase/escape from, but that’s the player skill, not Path being op and you could argue that the same player would perform the same with any other character should he/she invest the same amount of time mastering it

I main Pathfinder and I think he top 3 tier among the existing legends in pretty much all categories, hitbox, defensive, offensive, utility etc etc. And I think we rather should nerf the strong champs than buff the weaker since I think this game should primary be about shooting and the basic movement where abilities just adds the "spice" to it all.
So here are two nerfs that I think would balance Pathfinder without taking away too much of the essence of the legend:
1) If you use your Q without hitting a surface, then put it on 5(?) secs CD.
This would increase the skill cap by forcing the player to learn the reach and have a precise aim and also punish "bad" usage of it which is the case with most other legend abilities. A badly timed or fat-fingered Wrath Q means full CD so why not the same with Path?
2) Simply increase the ultimate cooldown.
In all honesty, the CD is a little to low in relation to how big of an impact it can have on the game. So many games when the Zipline literally was the only reason your team out-ran the circle or got the winning position in the end game etc. At least 150 secs imao.
- 6 years ago@Babbediboopi I honestly think that Pathfinder is the only S tier character. I would class Octane/Gibby/Caustic/Lifeline as A tier, and the rest as B tier. Yes, you read that right, even wraith, her nerfs have got to the point where her character is now completely destroyed and the only thing she has got going is her hitbox and her height, that is it. Tacticals now trash, ultimates now trash, no speedbuff, 2.5s to activate a tactical and you still get shot/burnt while in phase. Garbage.

Yeah I might even agree that Pathfinder is a S-tier legend. Like I said, I think he is top 3 in ALL categories imao; offensive, defensive, support/utility etc etc. I would also put Wraith up there in competitive/high elo games though because her ability to transport the entire team to a new location is invaluable when positioning is so important. But I guess that isnt that useful in causal games etc
- 6 years ago@Babbediboopi Pathfinder has 0 defensive and support capability.

Not if you ask me (but I realize it might come down to semantics). For me, the ability to grapple away and heal is a defensive capability, actually one of the best in the game. And the ability to transport the entire team up to high places (or just out of a bad situation) and find the next circle are both S tier support capabilities.

Exactly this. I would even call it, balancing and tuning down, not entirely nerfing.
The most OP thing with Path is his tactical, it just need to be 25sec, he will still be very strong, but kinda fair.
Octane and Mirage needs rework tho.
But ability should not take over this game, skill on aiming/moving should be priority.
- 6 years ago@LordloshBang With the amount of delays on wraith, i'd pick her over octane every single time, you can strafe faster in combat, get to teammates faster, its practically pathfinder without the grappling across 300 cities away.
- 6 years ago@MIH4YL0WICH Wraith main, 3.17 KD , around 800-900 wins, 20 kills badge, 4k damage badge etc etc.
Pathfinders is rediculously OP, he takes 0 skill to master, yes you can simply "fly" further with pathfinder with his tactical with practise, but even the simplest of new players could easily master it within a select few hours, why? His cooldown is 12-15 seconds, wraiths on the other hand is 35 and she now WALKS a few feet away from her position which is now easily trackable. It is currently impossible to escape a pathfinder (if you're on you are on your own with say, a wraith for example), and they have a full team, 0 time to heal because no matter where you run, he is right next to you. He needs nerfing 100% - 6 years ago@MIH4YL0WICH Pathfinder grappling doesn’t require any skills, played him a few times and realised how broken he is when you can get to high ground so easily during a fight.
Grappling and holding down the jump button to launch yourself far away has a learning curve?
yes theres a timer to get it right but a 4 year old could get this down in 2 hours.
His grappling needs to be nerfed to 20 seconds.- 6 years ago
@ILikeGlueHmmlol your under selling the characters learning curve, Im sure the 2hr play for the 4 year old makes him the same as TSM_aberellie or any e sport player really. i mean i looks like it only took you a few time and your now pro. when can i expect to see your presence of greatness in esports.
your just salty and full of soy
