Keyboard and mouse on Xbox?

Hi, I am an apex player, I have played on Pc mostly but now i want to buy the xbox one x. Now cross-playing is currently working, but my question is why keyboard and mouse isnt supported on xbox. I dont want to play with a controller against Pc players. I think you should add keyboard and mouse support.
