Leaver Penalty is going to ruin this game.

This is going to kill the game, watch. One of the best things about Apex is if you are playing with an unfavourable person you do not have to play with them, you can leave the game and instantly join another. You do not have to deal with other peoples bad behaviour, bad game play, or douchebag'ness. It's non stop action without dealing with the crap of millions of other people. This is what sets Apex apart from the rest and they are going to change it? It's absolutely perfect the way it is now.

I don't have to deal with players whom solo drop.
I don't have to deal with players whom scream in voice chat.
I don't have to deal with players whom troll in game.
I don't have to deal with players whom don't play as a team.
I don't have to deal with players whom are not good.

I don't have to deal with anything I do not want to and it's bloody beautiful, The little time I have to play Apex legends is not wasted on other people!! Why in the world are you changing this??

If i start getting penalized for not putting up with other peoples crap I'm going to leave this game, no pun intended.

It's kind of an oxy-*, if you dont like it that someone has left your game you can instantly leave the game and instantly join another where you play a good game. A penalty system is not even needed!

Please do not listen to the snowflakes wanting a penalty system, you are going to ruin your game.

This is going to kill Apex, i'll bet a years salary.

I think there are two sides to it, but I believe the main reason it's implemented is to stop people from leaving games that really they should stay in.
I often have people drop in get killed while they're looting and then leave before I can even revive them, It's really annoying.
I think it's fair to leave when you are dead and your teammates are somewhere totally different with no chance of recovery, but the list of things you just put are things that are totally playable around.
Sometime you just have to build up a little bit of tolerance for your teammates, I mean they're complete randoms and most of the time that's exactly what everyone else is having to deal with too and that's totally fine.
Anyway a leaver penalty wouldn't ruin the game, I think the way they had it with a penalty after leaving multiple games in a row was the right way to do it.
I think furthermore there should be a buffer that you can't leave a game for 10 seconds after being eliminated, as it gives people some time to cool down and assess rather than instantly rage quit.

I feel your pain! A lot of players have different play styles and unless they're on the mic telling you what they're doing, it's possible they could be getting into a better position to come recover your banner. It might not always be wise to go get the banner right away because the enemy team could be camping it.

Was at my friends over the weekend and their son jumped into Apex Legends for the first time. He's a big Fortnite player. As soon as he died he went to leave the game because out of natural habit. Luckily, I stopped him before he quit and explained they still have a chance to get you back into the game.

As long as there are no other game modes available, the game is being designed as a three man team game, and meant to be played that way. Squads with an early leaver have a big disadvantage due to this, which makes it unfun for the staying players.
So unless they are introducing new game modes and they want to ensure that the game stays fun for most of the player base, they need to make a decision: either penalize the quitters, or just let it run down the hill. Either way what they're doing, one side will complain.
The way to go for this is an automated penalty system - and if the quitters cry, then so be it. It's by far means the smaller part of the community which would complain in the long end.
