Leaving a ranked match once you've been killed and your teammates abandon you

I have not played ranked in a while due too the no hit reg and code net issues, but if im correct you can leave withoud penalty as soon as your respawn timer runs out,  in case they have your  banner and there is no timer, you should press esc and exit game, then it should give you a mesage with Leaving will result in a penalty of some sort. or it should just say Are you sure,    If im correct if the message does not say you will get a penalty... your free too leave

Now if you have a support in your team you get penalized. It just happened to me now because I trusted the "'answer" of this question.

I got a penalty because I had a support in my team even though the timer has run out. It's important to correct this topic as it's the 1st link you'd find on google when searching for this question.

Yes its super annoying. Its actually the one thing that cant make me alt+f4 and just take the 10 min penalty, i.e if some premade duo just runs away when you get knocked and when you are executed, you see that they have 200 + 40 dmg dealt compared to your 800.  But lets me honest here: the fact that its so annoying is just another proof that the entire ranked system is broken.

Think about it: in a well designed rank system will the majority of players be happy to afk to gain free RPs because in a well designed rank system, the primary motivation to play is to rank up. This is just not the case with the current rank system. Too many players, at least from bronze to platinum, would rather leave, lose RPs and start again.  This ranked system is designed to keep players playing alot. Thats why they allow smurfs, alternate accounts, Bronze players playing premade with golds and soft resets, which basically is a built in smurf system.
