Legend Concept: Predator

Calling him Predator because his Ultimate was kind of based off the Predator Movie after I thought up his passive and thought it kind of seems similar to Predator Vision.

Passive: I see you.

  • For yourself, you see a highlight on enemies in your line of sight. The range is dependent on your zoom level. Hipfire always counts as 1x. This portion may be blocked by smokes.
  • 1x: 50m. 2x: 75m. 3x: 100m. 4x: 150m. 6x: 200m. 8x: 250m. 10x: 300m.
  • When enemies are within 25m, you always see a highlight on them.
  • Enemies within 25m are marked on your minimap for the whole squad.
  • Enemies within 25m within your line of sight are also highlighted for your squad.
  • Edit September 2, 2024: All recons have threat vision similar to this character's highlight capability, and everyone has the option to use highlights in close range, so I'm adding an extra feature to replace or regain lost power for that portion of the perk. Also, everyone has the option to see healthbars when they damage targets.
  • Updated: When you aim directly at a target, you highlight them for allies. You also see their healthbar even if you didn't damage them. If you lose line of sight, the highlight and healthbar are lost. If you stop aiming, the highlight is lost and the healthbar is also lost if you didn't damage them to proc that healthbar effect, which takes priority over the aim healthbar.

Tactical: Tracker

  • Projectile Ability
  • On hit: For at least 5 seconds, your target is marked for your whole squad.
  • Your Ultimate will seek the marked target or targets closest to your cursor, or it once it is launched.
  • Projectile appearance like that of a dart or the Whistler but smaller.

Ultimate: Carnage

  • Throw a seeking blade that bounces off all surfaces and enemies.
  • It will seek a marked target.
  • It lasts 20 seconds once deployed. 5 once it hits its primary target.
  • It deals 50 damage to shields, and an additional 25 if it cracks the shield. It deals 100 damage to unshielded targets.
  • If it hits a target a second time, it only deals 25 damage.
  • If multiple targets are tracked, it will prioritize standing over downed.
  • Once it hits its target, it will seek nearby targets that it hasn't hit yet.
  • It flies in a linear pattern, with light falloff, and can accelerate its falloff if it is too high.
  • It doesn't really seek-seek, more redirects itself on bounce to reangle for hit or reangle to bounce to another angle to bounce and hit from.
  • Paired with the ability to accelerate falloff, if it misses it will falloff and redirect, or bounce off a wall ahead if inside a building.
  • It is most deadly inside buildings, as it can misguidedly hit targets multiple times. Outdoors you only get the one hit as it doesn't seek those it has already hit.
  • Appearance like that of a Chakram.

  • And yes, it needs a different name.
My naming system is more what they end up being mostly based off, not an actual naming system.
  • Free walls for your self is one thing but the whole team is another how about only you get walls

then what’s the point of having a tactical that marks enemies when ur passive already does that for you and I think an ult that does 100 damage if shields are crack is gonna be too over powered

@Starkiller-kang It's not wall hacks. It's minimap. BIG difference.
Within 25 meters is Self wall hacks.
For allies to see the highlight, the target must be within 25 meters WITHIN YOUR line of sight. No walls between you and them. No smokes. CLEAR line of sight. Clear enough to fire a Mastiff unhindered.

The tactical has a lasting mark from ANY distance. It's also used to tell the Ult who to hunt.

Ult deals 50 (weak ult). Extra 25 if it cracks the shield. (eh). Deals 100 to unshielded targets (instant knock).

90% of the time it will hit SHIELDED Targets. A simple shield cell pop before it hits will kill 25 of its damage potential, leaving the target at 50 HP.
And when it hits targets it has already hit, only 20 damage. Weak.
You should see Gibraltar's Ult. That thing is Murder in the outdoors.
A well placed Nox Grenade where enemies cannot escape and can't use healing will kill them.
The design here isn't broken. It's got its kill potential. Just like Gibraltar and Caustic.
Although, Caustic's is honestly weak. There's few places to trap people and fewer still that would fall into the trap. I get about 25 per target with it.
Gibraltar's however, average 80 per target. Some of that is single hit, some of that is many many hits on one target. 40 per hit. Average 300 damage per cast on well placed Ult.

This ultimate design can't get near that much damage potential. It is made just fine.
  • @Zulkiers Going to be real honest with you chief...

Passive: I'm not sure you know how far meters actually are, but I'll tell you; From the top of the firing range hill to all the way to the first dummy you'll usually see is over 80 meters. That's pretty far and makes clearing out any POI a breeze as you can stand in the middle of it and see everyone in most of them, especially if the player has a 300 meter vision. However, that's more of a problem if they can see enemy players through walls, and you did say that the highlight only works within line of sight. But, its still overpowered. There are a lot of high points, and this would just make a season all about snipers, where Predator pings, and the other two shoots. That doesn't sound like a lot of fun.

Tactical: Okay, having a tactical that acts like a homing beacon for the ult isn't a bad idea. Imagine tagging someone running behind a Rampart wall or Newcastle shield, and the ult just goes around the barrier since the tagged player went behind the cover. As for the marking ability, that just sounds like a Bloodhound scan, but its only one target instead of anyone that gets scanned. I don't really see the point in it other than being a homing beacon for the ult to lock onto.

Ultimate: A form of this ultimate sounds like it would be interesting to see. My understanding of it is that it targets the marked player, or one who's in front of you, and it would bounce around a bit until it hits someone or times out. If it does hit someone, its lifetime is reduced. The only question I have is how can you mark more than one target? The tactical doesn't mention how many charges it has and with 5 seconds of the target being marked, how can another be marked and still have time to launch the ult? By the time a second player is tagged, the ult would go after the second target.

It's similar to Vantage's, but instead of reading targets you highlight them in your vision. Not as easy to ping them either since you can't track and read them. Not broken.
Tactical is literally just homing beacon for the Ult. No other real use. Some might find a way to use it to tell their team a target for elimination, if they have good team mates, but otherwise it's just Ult's homing device.

    Ult:
It would aggressively seek the marked target, bouncing around walls to reach them.
Other targets are secondary and require line of sight to seek once the main target is hit.
Targets already hit cannot be seeked and take minimal damage from being hit again.

They turned this passive into a passive for ALL Recons.
Except for the minimap and wallhacks part.
BTW, 25m is half or 1/3rd the range of Heartbeat Sensor, depending whether they got the upgrade or not. (Not=50m, Yes=75m.)
I based the 25m off that.
Relatively only large enough to check a building, and a little outside it. Large buildings only check a portion of. Even Seer can't check large buildings, and this guy had much less radius.

Since they added the digi-threat to all recons, that leaves this guy with the 25m perks.
So, I'll add one more to replace. Again, similar to Vantage but not quite.
While aiming directly at a target, you highlight them for allies, and you also see their health if you have healthbars enabled. Warning: If they exit your aim, they are no longer highlighted, thus targets very good at movement may be impossible to highlight for more than a split second at a time, if that.
Possibly an upgrade to extend duration of the effect similar to Drone Scan for Crypto.

The rest of it is still probably usable.
