Legend Idea / Lotus – The Silent Blade

I’d like to share a fully developed Legend Concept I’ve been working on.

LOTUS – THE SILENT BLADE
“The shadow you never hear coming.”

🎨 VISUAL DESIGN
Base Appearance:
A cyber-ninja aesthetic combining futuristic armor with traditional shinobi elements.
- Black bodysuit with glowing purple chakra-style lines across arms, chest and legs.
- Hooded silhouette with a deep, shadowed face.
- A lower face mask with soft purple breath-glow (ANBU-like vibe).
- Slim, agile body type – very fast, very controlled.
- A compact back rocket/stabilizer unit like other Apex characters, glowing purple.
- Short cyber-kunai holstered on the hip.
- Movement leaves a faint purple shadow-trail behind her.
Color palette: black (#000000), neon-purple (#7A00FF), subtle dark greys.

📜 LORE
Raised in a secretive shadow clan on Typhon, Lotus learned that silence isn’t the absence of sound —
but the presence of control.
When Typhon fell, she lost her clan, her purpose, and everything that shaped her.
The Apex Games became the only place where her speed, stealth, and cold precision made sense.
Lotus fights not for glory, but for instinct.
She is the shadow between breaths —
the blade you never see until it’s already too late.

⚡ PASSIVE – SHADOW VEIL
“Silence is the sharpest weapon.”
- Lotus is 50% quieter while sprinting.
Footsteps and movement sounds are significantly reduced.
- When Lotus knocks an enemy, she becomes completely silent for 5 seconds:
- no footsteps
- no sprint sound
- no sliding noise
- perfect for repositioning, flanking or chaining knockdowns
Gameplay purpose:
High-skill stealth mobility. Rewards aggressive plays and smart repositioning.

🟦 TACTICAL – SHADOW STEP (UPDATED)
“Choose your wall. Become its shadow.”
Lotus marks any wall or vertical surface within 10–20 meters.
She instantly jumps to that point with a shadow-burst animation and can cling to the wall for up to 5 seconds.
While clinging:
- She may move sideways up to 1–2 meters
- She can aim downward and shoot
- She may drop anytime
- She suffers no landing slow — after dropping, Lotus immediately maintains full sprint speed (unlike other Legends)
- She becomes extremely hard to track
- Enables surprise attacks and high-ground repositioning
Cooldown: 25–30 seconds.
Gameplay purpose:
Vertical ninja mobility, ambush setups, creative repositioning, unique anti-landing-slow mechanic.
🟪 ULTIMATE – BLACK BLOOM
“Become the mist. Leave only fear behind.”
Lotus releases a 10-meter radius black-purple smoke field around her.
Effects on enemies inside the smoke:
- Slowed movement (≈40%)
- Damaged by 5 HP per second (up to 25 total)
- Severely reduced visibility
- Distorted / muffled audio
Effects on Lotus:
- Fully invisible for 5 seconds
- Immune to slowing effects
- Can escape in any direction
- Can use the chaos to flank or completely vanish
Cooldown: 120–150 seconds.
Gameplay purpose:
Escape tool, clutch mechanic, fight disruption, high-skill stealth reposition.

Class: Skirmisher
Role: Stealth assassin / mobility outplay legend
Skill Difficulty: High
Strengths: stealth, mobility, escape, surprise engagement
Weaknesses: limited team utility, struggles in long-range fights

🖤 DEVELOPER BALANCE NOTES

Design Intent:
Lotus is a stealth-mobility skirmisher with an emphasis on sound control, vertical repositioning and misdirection.
Counterplay:
- Bloodhound scan
- Seer heartbeat passive
- Crypto drone reveal
- Fuse ult (clears smoke)
- Catalyst’s ultimate visual division
- Horizon tactical lift exposure
- Maggie tactical to force Lotus out of hiding
Balance Philosophy:
Shadow Veil is powerful but requires skillful knockdowns.
Shadow Step enables high-value off-angles but has limited duration.
Black Bloom is primarily defensive and escape-oriented, not full offense.
