Lifeline needs a cooldown on her passive just like Gibraltar has

Lifeline's passive, where she can revive knocked teammates with her drone, needs a cooldown. If you fight one from afar, down her ally, she revives them. As soon as they get up, you down them again, she just gets to pick them right back up, infinitely.

If you fight one up close, she uses the shield for cover. You get close to her, she backs off and plays cat and mouse with you until her teammate gets up. You have to kill them again, she just picks them right back up. You can destroy her drone but she can just place it right back down. You can try to finish off her teammate so she can't infinitely pick them up, but now you have to cut through their knockdown shields and you're vulnerable for her attack. It's just so cheap. It needs like a 30 second cooldown after use. It doesn't even make sense from a realistic point of view. If she used her drone to heal herself (as the tactical form), it has a cooldown. So why would her using the drone to heal a teammate and pick them up not come with a cooldown?

Gibraltar's gunshield passive has a cooldown. If your gunshield breaks, gotta let it recharge. Imagine if right after breaking his gunshield, it just came right back. That would make him so OP. I think the same is with Lifeline. She is TOO overpowered now. Can't fight one from afar and if you fight one up close, you're always forced to thirst kill or push her hard to prevent her from reviving, putting yourself in a very dangerous situation sometimes. And I'm not saying she is impossible to deal with. Obviously you can kill them and their team. They're not immortal. But in terms of what Legend on a team makes it the worst to go up against that team, she is on the top of the list. It's unbalanced.

  • @Eurlannd Yes, something like this would be appreciated. I just think 0 cooldown is too much power for such a great passive. Like not only is it arguably the most useful passive in the game, but it also doesn't have a cooldown? Crazy to me how it didn't come with one.
  • I don't even know why she can do that now, at S1 she didn't have this OP passive and was still top tier. Granted, it was before she had the 5% damage debuff but she's still really hard to hit with a shotgun so 5% is a little low I believe.

  • Lifeline drone revive needs to have a 35 second cool down.  This ability is by far the most powerful passive ability.  Revive spamming while still able to shoot you if you try to push.  Very frustrating to encounter despite knocking the same person 5 times in a row...

  • @billybobbjoebob I've only just come back to Apex a few days ago, but that change blew me away. It's almost pointless to even try to fight a lifeline at a distance. If you pair it with a gold backpack it's just insanity. You can rez your teammate with over half health and shield, and you get unbreakable cover to fight from. I've even seen people fighting out in the open as lifeline just crouching behind a teammate, letting them get knocked, rezing them to put up the shield and firing from that. Then when the teammate is up with half health and shield they can just fire away until they're downed again and lifeline gets another free shield.

I've seen people use it a few times to cross open stretches with no cover when they're being shot at by a whole squad of people. Or you can just use it to slowly back into cover rezing your teammate a few steps at a time.

I love that she can rez people and move at the same time, it's a great ability and makes sense for her from a lore-standpoint - but I think not having a cooldown is pretty strong.
