Loot RNG REALLY needs improvement

The way the loot is distributed really needs improvement.

There is quite an amount of occasions where I searched a few smaller buildings and got jacks**t. Usually it's stuff like a thermite and some attachables and maybe a helmet. But weapon and body shield? Nope. Then the next enemy, of course, has a blue shield and a PK. Result? I die without having any chance.

As anyone can imagine I am not always on the losing side of this. I also had occasions where I got sweet loot right as I landed and I downed an enemy that barely had anything. Of course this has happened as well. I won't pretend as if only bad stuff happens to me. This "problem" also worked in my favor for sure. The thing is: sure, it makes for some easy kills but it's not really satisfying. The reason why you feel good after killing an enemy is because you know you were the better player. But downing someone that has no weapon and shield while I have a blue one and an R301? Yeah, sure nice easy kill but not anything to be proud of. It's like beating up a toddler. Easy AF and remarkably unremarkable. A loot distribution that enables fair fights right at the beginning would be nice. Of course it won't ALWAYS happen cause it's still RNG and sometimes it'll turn out bad, but improvement IS possible.

A great example is when I dropped with my teammate alone in skulltown (it was very far away from the drop ship). The sector/arm that we dropped in only had white shields. The next sector we went to only had blue shields. Had another team dropped there they'd have already gotten an advantage because of bad loot-RNG. Same goes for weapons and their attachments. Sometimes you get loads of a certain weapon thrown at you and sometimes you can search all of Skyhook for an R99 and you won't find a single one. Then the next game every building has 4 or 5 R99s/R301s. Same for attachments. Want to play P2020 + Hammerpoint? Sometimes you find it in the next building and sometimes the entire map doesn't have a single Hammerpoint and/or an R301.

Also, Lootbins that have the same item 3 or 4 times. I mean why? Why do I find lootbins with 3 LVL1 backpacks? Or 3 or 4 LVL1 helmets?

I could continue complaining but I guess everyone gets my point: the RNG that determines the loot distribution needs some improvement.

  • @Zero-Loot5 The loot distribution is usually good. It just seems bad if everyone hot drops at one location.
Normally, you’d loot like 2-3 houses at the start and get decent stuff. But if you hot drop, you’ll be lucky to loot a single house, and you have to make do with barely enough gear.
Also, how would they make the loot fair while also allowing for weaker items? The p2020 is one of the worst guns, and nobody wants it on landing unless they have the hop up.

@Elamami3440 ? If you stay in one place the entire game, you won’t get good loot. You have to keep moving and loot other areas.
I’m not sure I understand what you said though.
  • @Sir_Named Yeah true I understand these people do this all time specially when I play with random, they looting and iam fighting when I need something they don't give me, but iam actually love solo playing sometimes I do this when iam not with friends
