Just a comment on what you said about getting worse teammates vs better enemies. Just want to point out that its kinda hard to really make a fair assessment of that. I have a 4k banner on pretty much all legends that I play and peaked master and I have terrible games, quite alot actually, where I mess up terribly and miss 3-4 PK shots or entire mags of Wingman shots, dying first with 50 dmg dealt. And after such match, I bet my teammates, who might have much less avr dmg dealt or KD than me, think to themselves "what a noob; why am I being teamed with much worse teammates vs much better enemies", just like you. All I am saying is that its easy to forget all games that you are the worst player in the team, and just remember the ones that you hard carry.
The only thing that could actually could proof such thing is if you play many consecutive matches and look at the stats. I did such thing a while ago and my conclusion was that yes, I get teamed with worse teammates most of my games but I also get faced vs worse enemies too most of my games...

@BalladalidilaI basically tracked my games for a week this season and it confirmed my thoughts on the SBMM. I stopped at something like 80 games without a win and a large number of games where 1 or more of us died instantly and/or my teammates were toxic or just dumb. Huge number of games where a random pushed a 1v3 immediately off drop and died before I even had a gun. Tons of games where I was swarmed by a 3 stack who never missed shots. Not once did I feel like I was playing the game against anybody close to my skill level, which is very average. It was infuriating.

Yeah most of those things you mention happen for sure in the vast majority of matches with randoms, I have no arguments there hehe =)
All I am saying, if we take me for example, that sometimes, its ME who is the "stupid and toxic" random from my randoms pov. Just an example; lets say I down one enemy and crack a second and therefore spams enemy here and hard pushes in to finish the squad, but I just randomly happen to be teamed with someone who is afraid of fighting and want to "hold position" and they also interpret my enemy here spam as "enemy here, run away" =). lets say I die in the 1v2 after rushing in alone and then I maybe get a bit tilted when I see that my teammate didnt follow me and I ask "wtf are you doing? and my teammate then thinks to himself "what a dumb and toxic noob who pushes solo. Why am I always teamed with dumb and toxic noobs??"So what I am trying to say is that many situations when you think that your randoms are "stupid or bad" happens more because you just have bad synergi of playing style.
I never play with randoms, expecting that we will have great understanding and teamplay and I always assume they suck. Sometimes I am proven wrong which is a nice surprise but in most games not. And as long as I mind my own business and always do whats best for me in every situation, I still can have an average 2-3 KD, 10% winrate in pubs and ranked below Platinum. But I would never play Platinum+ ranked with randoms.
But yeah, it seems to me that players that are very average give or take will have a quite hard time in pubs. I just landed a 4800 dmg game and my random premade duo literally had 49 + 1000 dmg and both of them was in the game to the last circles.. So that 49 dmg guy had NO business being in my lobby if there was a strict SBMM. But there obviously isnt. If it was, no one would ever be able to get close to 5000 dmg in one game.
