I’ve also had my grapple distance cut by a large amount. I had racked up nearly 14 million for distance, and now it’s back down to 1 million. Extremely upset- I’ve played since day one and now that’s gone (my best stat, win count is nothing crazy) and it’s not even mentioned in the patch notes? I’d love an explanation / a fix for this.

Thanks for nerfing this bolt bucket!
Now this bucket will not burst 1 into 3 and dump with impunity
Do not listen to all these whiners on robots that are not able to adapt to changes, because they are used to playing on the strongest heroes - they are weaklings and rags!
They don’t give a damn about other weak heroes, here we don’t give a damn about this bucket!

Ok, hear me out. I have been playing Apex for a bit and when I saw the pathfinder Nerf I thought that it was a bit harsh.
BUT, is he really unplayable? He still has zip-line, the ability to scan survey beacons (an underrated ability if you ask me), a slim hit box, and his grapple still works like it used too. I hear so many people complaining that Pathfinder is now bottom tier. I think maybe a 30 or 25 second cool down would be in order but he still has great mobility. It is just now he has to be more careful with his grapples.
I just think people should play with the Nerf for a bit longer before demanding that the Nerf be reverted.

Repawn just took away the one thing Pathfinder was good at, and that's grappling.
30sec on grappling is useless, 15sec was okay and resonable. If you really wanted to nerf the grapple 20secs would have been great balance.Respawn, you guys just did a Jeff Caplan Play by dropping a hard nerf on a Character instead of doing soft changes to see what it affects overall in the community and the games.

@Nako485 I never liked Path so I can speak objectively but not with much experience. The nerf does balance him along with most other legends but I feel it causes 3 problems
#1. Pathfinder is a LOT less fun to play. I don't like the character but there's something satisfying about being able to move about the map so freely. Players that were used to flying around now have to run shoulder to shoulder with Revenant and Lifeline. It FEELS bad which isn't good for a game.
#2. It feels like a punishment to players that developed the skill to use his grapple at higher levels. The grapple was overpowered so it needed to be knocked down but this is again punishing players for developing skill around this feature.
#3. Whats interesting about Pathfinder anymore? Without the ability to grapple around freely and frequently his kit looks dull. Support and occasional repositioning that's Pathfinder. On the surface he looks like a dull character.
There hasn't been enough time to judge the nerf but I feel Pathfinder is balanced well while having the fun of playing him ruined. People will either get over it or obsess over a new character.

Yeah, it's that bad. He was SUPPOSED to be the mobile legend - his description is literally "Forward Scout."
Now if he grapples ahead of the squad to SCOUT, he's toast as the cooldown is too long. 35 seconds it's a duration that needs to be saved for escapes.
ETA: Also he does have one of the larger hitboxes, they gave him low profile to make up for his mobility which they took away.
