Megathread: World's Edge map feedback at launch

The new map is okay but I do feel that we should have the option of which map to play on. I also believe that if we had that option World's Edge would be empty. I already have to jump around to different servers to find enough players to play ranked after midnight up until about 10am and if we had the option of which map to play on I doubt I would find a full game for World's Edge Ranked before noon.

The problem I have with World's Edge is the size and lack of loot. I know where some decent loot locations are and I haven't figured out the entire map in terms of where good loot is in each area so I often find myself dropping into a location, looting an entire building and praying to find something other than a mozambique or P2020 and also praying to find T1 shields. I rarely find decent equipment even after I've cleared 3-4 floors of a building by myself.

The charge rifle is a very annoying weapon. It can be used at any range and has no damage falloff. Other energy weapons take time to fire and/or are effected by gravity. The charge rifle desperately needs changes.

The layout of the buildings feel awkward. I frequently find myself searching for doors and on numerous occasions my team ends up getting surprised by a squad and I tell them I'm on the way and then I can't find a door to get out. They go down and then I find a way out and suddenly I'm in a 3v1 scenario.

If I could go back to King's Canyon I would. World's Edge has potential but in its current state I don't like it.

The new map has almost ruined apex for me. 

As a two-time diamond player, here is my feedback. 

Loot

Loot is way to sparse. I have had to check over 5-7 loot spawns and may still end up with a p2020 and Mozambique. Meanwhile, the next game I'm peacekeeping people down or shredding with an r301 against p2020 victims. 

Map is too big, good loot is too sparse, inequality exists upon drop, more than ever. 

Shields

Finding a purple shield used to be exciting. It was hard to find in game, and Lifelines ultimate was way more valuable for getting one. 

Now you have easy to find Cargo bots and vaults on top of usual ways to obtain armour. Now everyone runs around with LVL 3+ armour. This creates a number of problems:

1) it devalues Lifelines ultimate even more, which is a slap in the face after her heal bot nerf. 

2) it empowers better players to be even better. With an infinite supply of LVL 3+ shields, it's easier for them to mow down players. A good player can mow down a player in clip without reloading, or a couple pk shots.

Now there is a big disparity. If you can't mow down a player in a clip or two big hits, you're going to lose fights everytime. 

Making LVL 3+ armour more scarce allows weaker players a better chance to kill good players, which is healthy for the game. 

3) it makes fights unnecessarily longer. Unless you're getting mowed down by a better player, average player vs player engagements are too long. The loud gunfire and longer fights makes it easier to 3rd party. 

Buildings

They are way to unnecessarily tall. It just looks unpleasing and is a letdown when u realize the skyscraper really only has 3 floors.

Way to many repeated building structures that are not unique.  

Size

Way too big. Snipers don't need a larger playing field to be fun. You didn't learn from the sniper and shotgun even. You thought because of its success it would translate into success on a bigger map. But what made snipers and shotguns fun was intensity of gunfights from using them on a smaller map. 

Colour 

I love snow maps. But what you've done with the snow area of this map makes me hate it. The map is way to colourful and hard on the eyes. Turning down the brightness helps, but really? I have to do that?

Pathfinder Ultimate

Why in the old map I could ulti almost anything with his ultimate, yet in the new map it's more difficult than ever to place? Fix it's ability to be place on map terrain. 

Vault

Get rid of this. Imo it's a bad mechanic that dilutes the game with high tier loot. 

You should be able to find better guns, but attachments and armour need to be more scarce. 

I for one am really hoping the next event is on the old map. Im not a big fan of this map. 

I just got the game, I think the new map is good, but not as good as footage of the old map. I really want to play the old map, and now that I've played it in Shadowfall, I really want that map brought back. Please just bring back the old map and keep the new one. Make it like a map selector. 

Still loving the new map. KC was just beige and green. I’d like to see it again in events, but WE is better, hands down. 

I sware to god if old map isn't brought back I'm going to find a way to sue EA
