Mirage - The Hologram Trickster Buff Ideas

I wonder if Mirage's "Psych Out" stacks as like as Bangalore and Caustic's Tactical Ability and you can Deploy 2 Decoys at once, (maybe the other one is running and the other one is sitting depends on the player). The Ultimate will add extra decoy; control the "Psych Out" Decoy and allow them to sync with the player like shooting in 1 target/maybe other decoy will shoot anywhere, running, reviving and other mirage activity and it will last in 10 seconds. The passive is okay and we don't need to change. And that's the Literal Hologram Trickster I ever want to see. 

The you can see the Decoy can sync with Mirage on "Finisher", in his Lore, and on the Mirage's Voyage. So I guess this buff will work!

  • As a Mirage main I've suggested at many places that Mirage needs buff to make both his tactical and Ultimate to be purposeful. Something similar to what I suggested below needs to be implemented to Mirage asap to let the fella compete with all the Wraiths and Pathfinders out there.

    Tactical :

    - Let there be 2 bamboozles which charges up like caustic, Bangalore and Wattson's skills.

    - Let the decoys be no less than a live player i.e. let them run wisely jumping and sliding through obstacles, travel through zips, punch and finally shoot at opponents (opponents won't recieve damage from these bullets though. also decoys die if shot twice)


    Ultimate :

    - Instead of standing still let the decoys move like stated above with Mirage being 100% invisible for the time being with no shadows or signs of him for 10 seconds.

    - Let Mirage HEAL HIMSELF and RELOAD within the cloaked time. He won't be able to shoot within cloaked phase.

    - Also let him REVIVE his team mates while he is in cloaked mode, while reviving both he and his downed teammate attains the cloaked phase.


    Passive :

    - Automatically drop a knocked down decoy which can take some shots and not die with 1 hit and cloak for 10 seconds so that he can reach a safe point. Also increase his knock downed movement speed.

  • @Dokuganryu699 Oh my gosh yes I’ve been a mirage main and I believe that mirage is the most deserving of a buff I would like to add to your idea though I think adding an extra 5-10 seconds of invisibility would help make mirage a much more enjoyable legend

    @Inferno_Elusive  same mate, a Mirage main here and it sux to see our boi get no buffs to make his tactical and ultimate serve their purpose. The current bamboozle might only fool enemies in a PvE situation but is too weak to fool a live player. This part needs to be improved by making the decoys look and behave exactly like live players.

    Same goes for the ultimate, it needs a purpose. Atm there's no purpose except maybe it helps you escape a bit or you can use it to go behind an enemy and down him otherwise it's of no use. Letting Mirage heal team mates, reload and heal is what needs to be added to make his ultimate a good one atleast that'll make him be a pick amongst these wraiths and pathfinders.

    @Dokuganryu699Idk if you have played fortnite but they have decoy grenades now that act just like live players, I would like to see mirage have decoys similiar to those just with actions on apex, maybe even a decoy for when you are knocked down and it would crawl somewhere randomly or in the direction you send it while he is invisible but the decoy should look realisitic and not just a straight line and also the invisible time could be extended slightly to give you time to send the decoy in a particular direction or spot and still have time to crawl away to safety, I also like the suggestion for 2 decoys

    im not necessarily a mirage main because I play every legend but I do like to bamboozle every now and then and don’t think these changes would make mirage that overpowerred as most players don’t know how to correctly send decoys and send them mid gunfire

    @FaIIenAngeI777 installed once in s1 but didn't enjoy building and running lol 

    Coming to the point, yeah I'd like to see a purpose behind Mirage's tactical and ultimate. For eg. Pathfinder's tactical is to hook, he does it quite successfully. He reaches at unreachable places, bring enemies close and hook punch them. It all serves the purpose of the skill. But for Mirage? The tactical doesn't fool another player (not newbies but actual players in ranked) The purpose of the decoys is to fool and divert attention of enemy team to them but enemies barely pay a damn fugg to them decoys. That's where it needs to be live, they need to jump, slide, travel through zips, crouch and finally shoot bullets which will exactly seem like they being hit by a player who has very bad aim and missing shots (the bullets won't do damage to other players though) and the decoys must perform all these wisely like another live player. Might be tough to implement but that's what needs to be done in order to let Mirage compete with Wraiths and Pathfinders.

    Next is the Ultimate, again same question what's the purpose? Pathfinder's ultimate is for travelling, it serves the purpose. Wraith's for travelling too in a different style, serves the purpose. Imagine if Wraith's portal was placed at a point and it teleported you to another place. Not really cool right? That's what we Mirages feel with the ultimate (majority of us). Mirage's ultimate time should be increased as I said and give it a purpose like it's for running away so turning invisible boosts your speed by 50% for 10 seconds or if you want it to serve purpose for the team then let the guy revive his teammates, heal himself and reload the guns. Just no shooting while invisible like it is atm, otherwise let him do stuffs.

    Many people might think these will be OP changes but Mirage needs these otherwise he's like too dumb legend with 2 guns and quite large hitbox. If Wraiths and Pathfinders can be OP, let the other characters be OP too.

    tbh doesn't impress me much plus i'd be happy if they invested time in balancing the game by buffing the lagging characters instead of dropping these skins.

  • Mirage should be able to transfer between his clone and make his clone the real mirage. His ultimate should make him invisible and leave a clone that disables his invisibility if shot. And maybe take some damage as well. Also his passive should give him a last chance to get out alive with 1 health after leaving his dead clone. Or his knocked clone can hold an 100 health knockdown shield and the other player should destroy it before killing the clone.
