I'm curious. What's the purpose of this ability anyway? To me it just seems cosmetic. The only viable functionality I could see here is that enemies landing first might shoot the airborne decoys instead of the player. However, I've yet to see an enemy shoot me or my decoys while in the air... Plus the decoys vanish the instant they touch down, so I'm legitimately wondering what the practical application of these airborne decoys?

I see, but my point is that, either fix this and make it like awesome, like deploying a squad of different legends and making the aim accurate. Or, If that can't be done, just remove it completely.

The best way to use the ability is when you break off from the squad after initial jump and toss out a few in different directions before you reach the ground. It's not that impact, but it can make people think twice about landing at a drop if one of your decoys looks like it will land there. The second usage is when using the redeploy balloons. Using the decoy can make people think you went re-positioned differently and increases the odds of not being shot at while flying.

Yes, very true. The problem is the ability is inaccurate, and 3 mirages next to each will look kind of weird. All though, you perfectly described what the ability should be doing. Which is why I posted this, so the ability could do what you said, but right now, it needs more accuracy, and it needs to do something like release a full squad of different legends, to make it real.

Oh I honestly didn't realize that you could deploy them from the balloon things, so that's a helpful note. I've only played the game for a couple days, and I have been shot at using those things.
Honestly, though I'm done with game unless Mirage gets a major overhaul. He's the only character I was interested in playing, and out of all the legends (haven't played Caustic) his kit is by far the worst in the game.
