The devices will not work on next-gen console unless they update their software; this is also why nobody knows what external hard drives are to be purchased for next-gen consoles until testing is complete.
I have to disagree due to knowing that you have your entire arm and a bunch of extra keys, macro's included and being able to rebind controls to fit your preference.
I don't think most PC players suck but I have realised that close range combat is very awkward on PC when playing. It will definitely give controller players a new perspective when fighting close range as the fights are a lot more interesting, it's crazy how good some players are at dodging bullets and doing acrobatic movements right in front of your face lol

I played Apex on PC and consoles (year on PC) and weeks one consoles. The mouse might be good at aim, but doesn't mean most people are good while using it.The keyboard is the bottleneck (my opinion).
Everyone has no fine movement at all (WASD) on PC, you're always moving at set steps with the keyboard. Some do have analog movement, but it's rare on keyboards.
Also don't forget that controllers do have better recoil handling. The data from the analog is constant, a mouse needs to be moved in that direction the entire time.
If companies would spend the same like logitech does on making the mouse better, controllers would be amazing. I bought my mouse in 2013, Logitech G502, works fine. There is pros and * to both devices. Also I can't compare the two devices as most game developers gimp the controller from the start in each game.
Apex Legends, can't loot while moving? Then the levels of aim assist companies feel necceasary, just because they don't want to put the time in on making the controls feel better without it.
Microsoft / Sony both make controllers cheap for a reason, it makes the a ton of profit. It's mostly because they cheap out on the analog sticks themself. It's 40cents to fix an analog, but most just buy a new controller.
There is the Logitech owned company Astro that makes the C40 TR. It has removable analog sticks, but still they charge $20 lol.So i'm not one to say one is better then the other. In my eyes, it's myth. I played with both very heavly. It is very hard to use mouse and keyboard, but so is controller sometimes.
Also I use a Razer Wolverine Ultimate controller. I never take my thumbs off my right analog stick, because I don't need to. The keyboard I own is a bloddy gaming 9564 I think. Has the gaming bla bla RGB with fancy digital switchs, Still like my controller more. With and without aim assist.
