MOUSE AND KEYBOARD FOR CONSOLE/CROSSPLAY

Honestly buddy I've played on PC with my girl and it wasn't that much different but I didn't really enjoy it on PC due to the movement system from controller not being as smooth as it is on console. Maybe we can both agree that since Respawn agree that M&K don't belong on consoles, then maybe controller shouldn't be supported on PC? But it may also be too late for that as many players are already able to play via controller on PC already. There would be an outcry from pro players as they would be forced to move to a new system (console) and purchase new equipment to record (like an elgato if they don't already have one).

As far as i can tell console players dont get advantages over others as its strict controller verse controller.

As you suggested earlier, some players use a default PS4 controller (like myself) and others use a controller worth valuably more to gain the advantage of never having to use CLAW or having added buttons on the back, this does indeed give you an advantage over others unless you're very adjusted to using CLAW. 

While you see it as harmless those on console who cant move as you do or even stand a chance is harmful

If we took your theory; then by that standard, since you stated that most M&K players are bad, and I know there are quite a bunch of pro PC players, wouldn't that also be classed as harmful? I do not think of it this way because for every single game you will find good and bad players. What Respawn need to do is start banning PC players who cheat with a harsh ban just like they did on PS4. When I play on PS4 it doesn't feel like anyone is cheating to kill me anymore; this hasn't happened since season 4-5, so they are definitely going thoroughly through everything to make sure that Apex is Cheater-free. However as consoles are rather limited; on PC you will always find a workaround for it, I believe this is the issue as to why players are more likely to be found cheating on PC.

Apex Legends is based around 2 titles and one game mode. The game mode is called Battle Royale (BR). Respawn copied that from Brendan Greene. Brendan Greene got the idea from the movie Battle Royale 2000. Saying Apex Legends is unique while it copies BR and FPSs would be an overstatement.

First rule in any company should be to be profitable, always. Also game companies follow each other all the time. There's an 80% chance a US based video game company will make a FPS, why? Most people in the US play first person shooters. Companies copy ideas all the time. I'm not saying Respawn didn't have "original " ideas.

I will say that some companies have more freedom to chase new ideas, some just dont' have that power. Big companies mostly all follow trends, why? It pays the bills. That's why it took someone like Brendan Greene to use the idea from the movie Battle Royale and create a game around it. Then once the big comapnies started to take notice, bam, everyone starts making BRs. Big companies can't risk failure on some crazy out there idea, Too many risks involved.

Some do gain the ability to do it, but not many. That's why COD is mostly still the same game from the last one, Halo hasn't really changed over the years, Assassin's Creed, Forza, Tomb Raider, Mortal Kombat, FIFA, Madden, Gears of War. Now that I think of it, I can't remember a title changing that much ever in my gaming years.

Not at all, I'm saying that one idea from something else led to the idea of Apex Legends, nothing more. I'm saying that something sparked the idea. Someone didn't just wake up and say "Apex Legends".

I get it, You like Apex Legends, But at the end of the day you shouldn't worry. Most game comapnies don't change too much that quickly, they make a new one around it if they need to.

It's why Apex Legends wasn't called Titanfall 3, that way people don't expect everything from Titanfall and/ or how it feels.

I will say, They might try and make people stay in game longer. That could be less loading to more spawning, you never know. You always want your community to be using your product.

While I do strongly agree with you on most parts of your post to E9, I would have to strongly disagree with you on the following statement;

The concept of BR is not what is unique (as you already know), the movement system however, is, that is the USP. The Trend was BR's. Warzone/Fortnite couldn't and wouldn't copy Apex's movement system, but they did steal another USP of Apex, which was their pinging system. Yes Apex is a BR, yes it is a copy of a concept but it is not a clone. You can tell this by your preference, I would rather play Apex than either of those games; because it is simply better in all aspects, along with its USP. BR and FPS fans are their target demographic.

Firstly, Apex Legends made a good development on their own version of crossplay mechanics by only activating it once you have a squadmate who is on another platform.

Actually, I also wouldn't like controller players to be forced in playing with the same lobby as those using m&k, vice-versa. 

BUT IF THE PLAYERS ARE FINE WITH THIS THEN: (AGAIN)

My suggestion is just give console players the option to play on M&K where they will actually be put in the lobby of those players who are ALSO using M&K OR those controller players who chooses to have crossplay activated! In this way, controller players who don't want to go up against M&K or has crossplay turned off will not actually be forced to play against crossplay lobby. They will simply be just put in a controller lobby where everyone will be using controllers. 

I am only suggesting this since crossplay is already confirmed and coming out soon (Oct 6, 2020) and I want players to have liberty on however they want to play the game. (especially on console since there is no M&K support, while PC supports both)

This thread is not a debate on which is better, controller or M&K. Both parties actually have something to say about each other that is why an option of crossplay is needed. You can even hear pro PC players complaining about controller's aim assist and laughing at controller players looting while standing up static. Also, APEX LEGENDS competitions allows controller players to go against M&K.. Daltoosh is a controller user that goes against PC players in competitions and he's a predator at PC lobby so i don't see why people complain. If you prefer controller and good at using it then you already have an advantage. Players shouldn't be forced to play controller on console especially that crossplay is coming out.

If there really is an enemy of console players against PC, then those are the cheaters which is everyone's enemy and a different discussion.

ALL I'M ASKING IS M&K SUPPORT AND AN OPTION FOR CROSSPLAY THAT YOU CAN EITHER TURN ON OR OFF (ON BOTH CONSOLE AND PC!)
