Yupp, thats why its called a battle royal. If you want stricter SBMM, play ranked, which isnt perfect due to smurfs and people who cant fight and just climbs the ranks by hiding the entire matches, but its better than casual mode if you are an average or worse player.

The good thing with such a wide SBMM as it is now in casual is that you actually can notice your skill progress. As you become better and better and moves further away above the "average", you will also notice that you more often will win fights. Compare this to a world where the SBMM would be very strict even in Casual. All your matches, regardless of your current skill level, would feel like flipping a coin since you would win approx 1 out of 2 fights.

Well, if your attitude is to insta-leave in the dropship only because you are in a lobby with a champion squad of two player who have high dmg/kills banners, then I totally understand that you cant learn anything =) 

And sure; if you are an average player, which probably is a player that start to struggle in gold, based on the official ranked player distribution,  I dont think the best way to improve is to jump at the lobby's hotspot together with the 4-6 best squads in the lobby. All I am saying is that I think it would benefit everyone if they man up and recognized their own skill level in relation to the rest of player base and then play accordingly. As we know, the majority of the best squads in each match will jump hot and therefore eliminate each other. So you dont have to be a genius to realize that if you just jump somewhere else, preferably together with one or two other squads that also avoided the hot spot, then you will probably have a much more even match up. And if you win that drop spot, maybe you even can find one or two more fights against other squads that ISNT the winner of the hot drop. 

@FPShogunChampions seem to be enjoying Apex Legends. Very unbalanced.
