My Thoughts on BattlePass Skins Returning
Personally... I Don’t Care (coming from someone who owns every battlepass except season 1 because I was new and wasn’t sure if I was actually going to continue playing the game until they added Iron Crown Solos)
Why? Simple. You spend $10 and receive $10 of apex coins just by completing the pass which is already your money back making everything else bonus profit...
profit:
*1200 crafting materials
*3 rare skins and a legendary weapon skin
*legendary and epic pack
*sky dive emotes
*banner frames
*kill quips
*music packs
*holo sprays
*gun charms
* 2 legendary character skins
*2 reactive skins
* apex packs
*reactive badge
and possibly a few extras I am not thinking of off the top of my head... as you can see this is a lot of profit and you don’t even have to pay $10 each season if you were smart with your apex coins you could use the 1k from the battlepass each season to get the next battlepass completely free... Also even if they did bring back lets say Pathfinder’s Iced Out Skin from like the Season 3 battlepass you earned it for completely free (by the logic of profits) while a new player has to spend $18
unless they take Halo’s approach and brought back the entire battlepass
I actually think a system similar to Halo’s would be beneficial for the game in the long term if players were able to purchase older battlepasses and complete them on their free time without having to complete them before the season ends, I don’t have much to gain from this idea myself except some of the Season 1 battlepass rewards but for future seasons it would be nice if theoretically I took a break from the game in Season 13 and wanted to do the season 13 battlepass when I returned to Apex in Season 14 and have nothing better to do once the Season 14 BP was completed
*note: players should still have to pay 950 apex coins for each individual battlepass instead of having access to all of them or possibly idk 1500 1450 apex coins each since they are older passes
My Thoughts on Limited Time Event Skins are basically the same as Battlpass Skins... I wouldn’t mind if Limited Time Event Skins or even Trackers were added into the Apex Store because it must suck to main a certain legend but that legend’s trackers were released like 9 months ago... Basically players have a chance to earn the items for completely free so if they ever returned it wouldn’t matter
Rarity of Skins means nothing... as you may of noticed Airship Assassin has returned for the THIRD Time (maybe 4th) so if an OG skin like that can keep being brought back why not some of the others... There are many Collection Event Skins I have not seen since that Collection Event was released... whats the point of not returning those skins?!?!? We should have collection event skins rotating on a weekly basis or even a 3 1/2 day timer for quicker rotations
