Need option to remove the emote shortcut in ping wheel

Not really sure how long this has been there, but for at least 3-4 weeks now, instead of jumping/climbing up a small ledge or obstacle, attaining complete cover, AND simultaneously switching weapons so I could also attack.  I've been randomly breaking into dance, or bowing, or drinking coffee, in the middle of fights, right in front of the person trying to shoot me.  When all I had to do is hop over something to be completely safe.   Today, after losing roughly my 20-30  gimme, I decided to go into firing range to see WTF was going on, because I literally don't have a button bound for emotes, except F1 on my main keyboard. (I use a gamepad).

So as it turns out, when you bring up the ping wheel and hit the space bar, it opens up the emote menu now.  SO, on my new mouse, when I scroll, I have to apply a little more force, momentarily opening the ping menu.  Any time I try to switch weapons and jump at the same time.  WOOOOO, it's boogie time!!!!  Also time to instantly die, as I usually am trying to jump to safety right after emptying both clips and need to reload my more suitable weapon.

Please developers, either remove this or add an option to the settings.  My only option now is just to remove my ability to ping altogether.  Which IMO breaks the game.

Also, it's been super triggering, having to take my hand off my gamepad and move it like 2-3 feet under my monitors and around other equipment to hit esc, just so I can leave the game when it's over.  I don't know what happen to the button you could just hit with your mouse to leave, but I've literally gotten off for the day because of how annoying not having that button is.
