NERF caustic Traps

maybe if this game has only wraith as a single legend available and the only gun exist to pick up is the mastiff then will these sweaty W key type of people will stop screaming stupid idea on the forum

I can't say I've ever played Wraith - was a Caustic main for a while, now trying out different legends each time I play.  I just find the "hold and secure" play style doesn't match well with how much 3rd partying happens in the game today.  While I'm waiting for gas to dissipate, the team inside is healing up and I'm getting pushed by a 3rd squad.  Usually, the best thing to do is run away, let them fight each other and come back to finish things off.  Not as much fun as seeing things through - it's the action of the game that suffers.  I have no idea what the W key comment is - I'm assuming that has something to do with PC - I only plan console.  Look, I get that my point is frustrating for Caustic mains, and I feel for everyone that he got nerfed.  But really, it is a lot of fun to try new legends out and learn different play styles.  Hold and secure is not the only way to go.

Absolutely not. 

Almost every casutic player is fine with gas doing low damage, we would rather have the slow and blind back from before they decided to swap it to a damaging trap type instead of the intented original CC skill. We need more CC in the game to counter aggressive pushing.

To the heck with the pros. The pros want this game to be a blind rush game and don't like slow grindy games because they play on PC. PC plays fast and furious so slows don't register with them. 

Console plays so much different, its slower, more methodical, because teamfights don't end immediately like PC can.

Pros were complaining about caustic, when he was barely in the top 5 in tournament play when he was strong and considered a flex pick to Gibby. 

They complained about Wattson when she was strong, pros COMPLAIN about anything that stops them from quick gun fights.

And this is why I once again, think you have no idea how even a PC caustic plays. 

Yes, there are camper caustics. Most of the top caustics don't camp, but instead transition in the middle of a server teamfight into a defensive lockdown area so they can funnel enemies, or find an opening to escape the cluster f.

Stop assuming console players camp, they don't all camp. It just moves slower. I play on both PC and console, its only longer gunfights because people miss more (and less cheaters 😉 ).

Good caustics use their traps/gas in fights to create space and to flush teams out. He is also an anti-camper legend as much as he is a camping legend. However, he is not the best at camping, that goes to Wattson hands down.

It's literally the same with every other legend. Ultimates and Tactials that are deployed prior to being downed/killed remain in place. Don't forget that the slow down effect + reduced visibility is literally the only thing nox gas is good for right now against competent players.
