Congratulations to EA/Respawn for finally killing Apex Legends gameplay.
Axle is the single most gameplay breaking legend or anything ever added to the game.
Axle effectively destroys the pace of the game. The map is filled with those little **bleep** stains and teams just driving around the map 300 km/h without making a sound. And that's not all. Get hit by Axles **bleep** drone and get sent 50 metres in to the air unable to move. What a great idea, not broken at all.
This season is absolutely garbage. I've had so much fun playing the last few season, after a long time having **bleep** seasons back to back. Then this is what it comes to? Braindead game designing.
Losing a first day player here. Bye.
As a long-time Apex player, I have to say one thing:
There was a time when a MINDLESS push without logical tactics resulted in a quick death.
Now, that same mindless push is rewarded, and those who don't choose the legends that make it possible are at a disadvantage.
In two years, the game has turned 180 degrees. This season is already a culmination of very bad and stupid decisions.
At a time when it's been clear for several seasons that the game needs to slow down, not speed up, what do we get? Another skirmisher that speeds up the entire game even more. The other half of the Legends simply can't keep up.
Skirmisher is the last legend Apex needed NOW.

As Halo got faster and faster over the years, I went on record saying that the game would be harmed by mechanics that allow players to escape their own bad decisions. I later went on record saying that the game would be ruined by mechanics that removed penalties for bad decisions. And later again I said the game had been ruined by mechanics that actively rewarded bad decisions.
Respawn, please take a long hard look at where Halo is now and ask yourself if that's where you want to be in... five minutes. Because at this pace five minutes is about how fast you're gonna get there.
