This event is rough. It did nothing but encourage bloodhounds to drop solo when they could of just clicked no fill. It also at times forces you to run across the map just for an update. We went from old train yard all the way to epic center just for my friends update. We figured ok just run do this then gear up. Instead we went on a nature walk and just spent half the game trying to do this one update. The dropping solo though when there is a no fill option just ruins the experience of having a trio.
Just another proof how unserious the game designers on Respawn are. They try to make this game a RPG hero adventure instead of improving on what made this game great and stood out from the competitors at release, i.e fast paced skill based FPS shooter. Just look at the graphic design at the release compared to now. Back then, the environment was clean; no random obstructions or noises. Now, the map is filled with random gas clouds, mist, fog and random "ambiance sound" and loud noises from constructions like at the new area Climatizer etc.
You see top pro players say the same thing over and over; they invite the best players from the pro scene to test new stuff and come with feedback but then go in the very opposite direction at the release. Soon we will have quest giving NPCs and PVE AI elements in the game.

Btw, I just came out of a game with a Bloodhound that did exactly that, i.e forced us to land in Skyhook and then ran away solo to do his stupid quest.. But what left my mind totally baffled over Respawns designers stupidity was that I at every stage of his quest had to listen to his monologues during its duration of a good 15-20 second each.. RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIGHT... wtf. It even blocked my pings!!!
And to rub salt in the wound, he was a total noob, AS USUAL, forcing me to carry him in EVERY SINGLE FIGHT AS USUAL, just so he could run up to every guy I pretty much killed solo and loot him AS USUAL... (sry for getting of topic but I just felt the need to vent =)
@E9ine_AC This event was wrong from the beginning. Go to Worlds Edge and do this but first wait 1h30min of KC, then 1h30min of Olympus and then Worlds Edge, they had to make the chapters in 2 days and for a week to be Worlds Edge only. But as a friend said, the bad has begun and will not stop. He meant that they started to be very elementary in the things they do and that doesn't stop, they have obviously reached their monetary goals and are no longer interested. Тhey doesn't care what the players think, they care about the currency. And you can see for yourself that if you say something that the company doesn't like, you get banned here, it's like a dictatorship 🙂
@CCbathwater Why? It's easy kills. Drop, take guns and start killing all the "I want 3 bloodhounds for free." Reporting, in this case, will be unacceptable because not everyone is fighting for free apex packs, most of the people just buy them and you can't blame them for killing people who do the challenge. The first day I landed at the white bird location and killed 8 guys, easy.
This is easily the dumbest thing that has been done in this game since I started playing in S7. I'm thanking my stars I was able to do both parts so far with minimal hassle.
@E9ine_AC happened to me 3 times in a row yesterday …not like my teammates would have had any value to the team anyway but thats just another reason to use the no fill option to get rid of useless teammates. (at least thats what i did)
remember the launch of season 7 when you could play olympus in peaceful mode? just might have been a good idea for this event but what do i know… you could even make peaceful worlds edge a seperate playlist so you don't have to wait 1.5hrs for it to finally return … the whole thing is just not well thought trough.
Poorly designed. They should never have specific character AND map AND location within map events. How is one supposed to do this without 1) griefing other people's games; or 2) waiting an eternity to get a game with no fill. On top of that, you're likely to not complete it in one game.
@E9ine_ACOverall the event isn’t that bad imo, my first run through was rough because I was confused but the second part I just landed there as a solo on duos and a fuse and another bloodhound just started crouch spamming and we did it together lol they got lost so I just waited for them to come back and it was kinda a fun experience and was funny because I wasn’t expecting it at all
I do agree that they should of done it differently like made the quest only available for Bloodhound’s using no fill so it didn’t interrupt BR matchmaking but personally I have only had 2 Bloodhounds run off solo and I was hot dropping for the most part so I didn’t really care or miss them too much
Honestly my biggest issue I had about this event was the Map Rotations because I had to wait hours just to do it and I was usually playing other games and just not thinking about it and when I did... It wasn’t World’s Edge
