New season feels like I am playing COD. Ruined a good thing.

I enjoyed that Apex required shooting & strategy. Shields and helmet upgrades allowed for various play styles and fun combat. Now I get killed from across the map in 0.5 seconds with no opportunity ...

My Kdr is now down to 0.2  that is really unplayable, wasnt our Kdr supposed to get closer to 1.0 at some point through matchmaking?? Day 0 player no way I am the worst out there.
