No heirloom shards !!!

So you think every "old" player should be guaranteed a heirloom? Nice way to effectively de-valuing  the exclusivity and "worth" of heirloom... Its simple market economy; exclusivity of the loot is what drives the totally voluntary and unnecessary (for the gaming experience) market of loot boxes. You pay to look pretty. Dont be mad at Respawn; be mad at yourself for being so vain.

Truth is that we dont know the exact probability of getting a Heirloom shard . Many think that its 1/500 = 0.2% chance but truth is that Respawn never confirmed this, nor did they say that you will get one in one of the loot boxes between the 1st and the 500th.  What they  DID say is that there is a mechanism, a kind of failsafe, that gives you a shard the 500th pack you open, should you not have gotten one before that.  In reality, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the actual probability of getting one is far less than 0.2%.
