Recently alot of folks pop up here getting banned for responding to someone via chat in a mirroring manner, speak talking trash back at the aggressor, here is something of a sight for YOU to feel better. Context: Been playing Premade duo with my wife with one random, i died and my wife went to respawn me, after communicating it to our third, said third didn't care all too much about regrouping and tried to fight a trio solo instead and went down, this was his reaction towards my wife, reported it as should with ample evidence to look into the matter, result of it down below, enjoy. Knowingly posting here because here i don't get AI spammed, Kudos! CM - The attachments have been deleted. Please remember about our forum rules. Don't "name and shame." If you see a suspected cheater, please report them by using the appropriate tools. We can't take any action against such accounts on Answers HQ, and such posts can lead to harassment.

@NitoTanaka I know how it might feel when someone is being toxic, though know that mirroring their behaviour isn't exactly the best step to take.(Not saying that's something what you've done since I lack context in here of course, though I'm just saying this overall for any situation like this)Some of these toxic players want to upset other players, by mirroring their behaviour you're pretty much playing into their hands.It's also important to note that the rules still apply, regardless of how other players are acting.I'm not going to start being rude if someone else is being rude, from what I know, it's expected that everyone should treat everyone with respect.If someone is being toxic then the best step is to report and ignore it.The game offers chat filtering and methods to mute players, which could make it easier ignoring these types of players.The reason why certain posts like this get edited/removed for naming and shaming isn't because EA is trying to protect these types of players.Players can have duplicate names in this game, which could be problematic in this case.If someone were to make a post about a toxic player called BigBen12 and it would get a lot of traction, chances are people that saw the post will instantly assume any player with the name BigBen12 is this player, which could result in even more toxicity towards players with such names.Overall it's also done to prevent witch hunts, as there have been cases in the past where a group of players try to track down such players and harass them, which should also be avoided.

@XHelperZ Guy told my wife, that he hopes her mom dies..tis a no-brainer to cover it and the more so to say "Yea nah he did all good", whiler other folks say way less offensive things and get ban hammered.

@XHelperZ Then tell me, howcome they tell me, that they've looked into the case i've set up, that this person did nothing wrong, but I on the hand get penalized/Warned for reporting/repeating/give evidence..honestly never tryin it again, done and done like damn mate, actually take my time to try to make the game a better place and expose such people that are this harmful with their wording and i get the spanking for it, right why not im into it.

Not tryna talk bad..but yeah nah..disappointing.

Ah, so you just repeated what they said in chat?
Okay yeah definitely misunderstood something there, I understand your position now.
With these types of things, support doesn't really have context behind the things you say in chat.
In this case they probably found out how it went down and you just repeated him, hence why you got a warning rather than an suspension.
It's just best to avoid saying anything at all that could be considered bad even if it's just repeating someone.

Well I'm not too familiar with how much the information the TOS team gives regarding other cases, it might be that they might not tell you the exact actions they took.
It's possible that their first review might turn up nothing, resulting in you getting a message that no action was taken, but that later on they get actioned.
Either way, TOS team stands final here, so they might've had reason to not punish them.

I strongly advice you to not even try to reason with the tos team.

I had my own experience with them wich was actually terrible aswell… this very account here received a permaban like a year ago for calling someone that acted idiotic an idiot. I got the ban and accepted it as is.

A couple of month ago I tried to unbind my steam account from this account. I just received a copy pasted msg that they invested my case and I would stay banned.
While i didn’t even ask to get unbanned in the first place…

Why even care about some 12 years old kid who insulted you online in a video game, let alone fighting an online battle to "bring them to justice". I mean, I assume that you are an adult since you are married. Just laugh at him and move on with your life. Who knows; maybe he also go a warning or even got banned. Still, if you repeated whatever he said back to him, then you are not better then him. As adults, I think we all can agree that "he started it"-argument is just childish. Imagine if this was IRL. Would you, as an adult, jump in to the sandbox and start throwing sand and scream and cry only because some kid says something mean to you?
I am not neither defending or encouraging flaming but IMO, competitive gaming is a sport and too some degree, I believe that trash talking/insults/harsh words arent that of a big deal. Also, as a solo Qer I know how frustrating it can be to play with premade duos. You say you died and your wife went for the banner retrieval and respawn while your random teammate died and then he started to flame? Well, I cant ofc know exactly what happened but Ive played enough solo Q games to know that premade duos have a tendency to make prioritization in the game that they ONLY would do when it benefits the premade duo but never if it would benefit the solo Q and THAT can be very frustrating and triggering. So for all I know, your wife used him fighting 1v3 as a distraction to get your banner and then just ran off to respawn you while he died 1v3. Once again, I am not saying I know this happened but this is a very common scenario for solo Qs. So even if it isnt "right" of him to flame, its very likely that your premade duo-behavior provoked him.

Well at least you did not get scream and shouted non stop by a random chinese guy, and due to me and my team mate does not have a microphone. We replied him in text chat telling him to calm down and because it was crazy loud he shouted at the mic, causing us to not be able to hear the enemy and disrupt our gameplay. A few bad words were written in text chat .. Hence our Account got BAN forever while the Toxic Chinese player still gets to play and continue to flame and be toxic against other player.. EA's new User Agreement against toxic player truly does it job Banning the Victim and Celebrate Toxicity and allow them to be toxic in voice chat..

Sent many dispute and explaining my issues to the Help Center, they did nothing because they have no records of voice chat.. and Ban us right away.. no Suspension as warning, Nothing ... Straight Up BAN for us trying to tell the chinese guy to calm down..
