8 meters away, bam 112 "shotgun" damage. Yeah in real life shot guns do a lot of damage, but you basically have a gun that can one shot no armor players, two shot white -purple, 112+112 = 224, which is basically a screwed red armor player. No matter who you play as, somehow people can deal high damage, any range, with the Mastiff, even if you got FORTIFIED. What kind of non-sense is this? The only gun that should "one shot", is the Kraber, not a shotgun. I've did the test with the Mastiff VS Peacekeeper. The Mastiff literally did a couple less points in damage, making it an EASY Peacekeeper when you don't have a Peacekeeper or wanna use the high damage + bullet spread that somehow deals high damage, regardless of how many bullets land on you.
Of course when a normal player use a Mastiff, or even when I try to, it always pull the 8-48 damage, no matter how much of the body was hit and how many bullets landed. Game is apparently broken in the hit regs and clearly favors some players over others. There's even times when an enemy fired say 3 times, with any gun, and the death recap says "died in 5 hits" or something more than the amount shot. This too, is a "what the heck?"
I really hope a dev or someone actually addresses the issue. You shouldn't be able to two shot any players down, specially when a pro, (or) cheating player uses it, because they can squad wipe with that 6 bullet mag you gave them.
