Option To Block Gifts On Account.

EA, add the option to block gifts.

I removed everyone on my account just so no one could send any gifts. I will not accept gifts in a video game. I look at gifts like tipping, it's unnecessary and bad business.

Thank you for taking the time to write out this feedback, @KYSOMT.

I'm not aware of any imminent plans for this but we'll pass it along as having to remove all your friends certainly isn't an ideal alternative.

  • @KYSOMT Howdy! If you don't have any friends on your friends list, then you won't receive gifts. We are not able to send gifts to random players on Apex. You have to be friends with each other for a couple weeks before you are even allowed to send a gift, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Hopefully this info helps!

    @dSKyNafinchin

I posted in the feedback section
to give actual feedback, not as general and/ or open discussion. and not to take comments and/ or have a generalized conversation, but to share my feedback and/ or opinion on the subject/s with the developers and/ or company EA.

I'm fully aware of how gifting works in the title Apex Legends, and I stated that I removed everyone just so I didn't receive any gifts. That means that I purposely removed everyone off my list, to not receive gifts.

Second issue is the XP system within these forums. I kindly ask that you remove your XP you gave me for this topic. I do not wish to participate.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm not posting in the feedback section to have a generalized conversation about topics either about EA, its subsidiaries and/ or products, but directly just giving feedback.

    Hello, @EA_Mako

Hope you're having a wonderful day.

Yeah, my same thought on this as well. Now I know I wasn't forced to remove anyone, it's just my way of making sure no one can send me gifts in the meantime.

Gifts in games make me feel like I own that person something, and I just don't like that feeling.

I understand that's just my opinion, but I would rather not have the stress of feeling I owe anyone something. There should be a way to block the receiving of gifts in my opinion.

It's true that anyone can purchase something as a gift to anyone in life, but that doesn't mean that person has to accept it.

Just thinking about it drives me crazy.

    You don't like it?...
     Why aren't you using it?...
Remember that day I purchased a skin for you, buy me one in return...

Nope, with a side of nope.

    Totally understandable, @KYSOMT.

It would be nice to have the option when dealing with these types of things so you're not feeling any obligation over something that was out of your hands in the first place.

My taste in skins is a bit off from the people I usually play with, so I'd feel bad for sure if one of them got me a skin I really had no desire to equip, 100%.

Have a fantastic rest of your week as well!
