Regarding the video posted today at https://youtu.be/k-amupfoQBE, the comments (and their replies) posted by "TF FOC GRIMLOK The Siva Mind" and "Pinoy Public Pranks" rightly point out that the plot in this video is CLEARLY a ripoff of Interstellar by Christopher Nolan. I had to complain about this because this is incredibly brazen and such brazenness really sucks when I am so attached to this game.Stop copying! Why can't you all come up with something original? There is a TON of unexplored plot lines in regards to space, theoretical physics, and black holes. This is fertile ground, and this makes it even more sad that you feel like you need to steal the plot of Interstellar.

@3enilly Gonna be honest, i hated the movie so I don't remember it 100%. I'm pretty sure there's other movies out there that are similar.Also, i'm pretty sure it's inspiration as we don't know the full story of what happens afterwards.

@3enilly I see how it might be plagiarism, but it's a 4 minute lore video to help satisfy people who really care about apex's plot, and to help people better understand Horizons ability. It's fine if they kind of copy something for literally the least important part of the game.

They may have used a details similar to the movie, but it's not as if theyr using every last bit of the film word for word. By your logic or at least what I'm gathering from it, if someone came up with an idea or discovered something no one is allowed to draw inspiration from it. Then at which point everything would come to a standstill. Back in the nineties companies actually patented genes. If that were allowed to continue then many medical discoveries wouldn't come to pass.

This is blatantly not true, @MrVideoFreak_YT . See the comments/replies for the similarities I was talking about. It is nearly exactly the same from a concept perspective.

For example, @MrVideoFreak_YT, they pointed out that
1. Cooper promises Murph that he'll return,
2. that humanity is at stake if Cooper's mission doesn't execute,
3. Cooper was betrayed by someone else on the mission, and
4. Time dilation forces Cooper to miss his child's life
Also (I'm not sure if I realized this or if this is from what the other people had said), Cooper needed to go to the black hole to get the thing that would save humanity, which is exactly the same as what happens with Horizon. Other things may be similar that I haven't stated here.
I really didn't need to spell this out for you; if you had seen the movie, some or all of the similarities would have been in-plain-sight, which makes me question if you actually had seen the movie at all.

I haven't heard anyone at Respawn or EA address this. This is very sad. I can't really see myself playing this game anymore due to this.

@s0apt0ken, while I understand your point, I don't think that any sort of plagiarism is OK. You need to come up with your own ideas, or credit whose ideas you take (although if you copied the main plot of a movie, even if you did credit it, in this situation it is still disappointing; an homage, as my friend pointed out, would be OK, but this appears to me to be much more than an homage).
