Players Boosting in Apex

EDIT: By boosting I mean two separate teams teaming up and letting one team do loads of damage to the other. Stat farming, think old COD boosting with tac inserts.

Is anything being done to combat boosters in this game? In the last week I have seen five different occasions of different players boosting for badges or stats. There is no way to report these people. Is there not a system that could be employed to catch these people? Players like this only seem to get banned if a streamer or content creator reports them or tells the developers.

I would think, if player A downs player B 10+ times something suspicious is going on and an anti-cheat program could kick the player. The account would get temporarily banned and investigated for a potential longer ban or permanent one. Multiple banned accounts on an IP address should constitute an IP ban.

Also, why is it so easy to get into the same lobby as other people you may be communicating with? Is there really nothing that can be done to stop boosting?

Getting killed by two teams boosting is incredibly infuriating, things like this when unattended to, kill games.

Not sure if this is detectable by the anti-cheat software but you can still report these players!
These are against the play fair rule and should get reported when they happen.

Boosting is not an in-game report option but you can report them by sending a ticket with the EAC report form.

I recommend uploading your clip to youtube and attaching it to the report form.

An alternative method is sending the information to RSPN_Hideouts.

Just one report should do the trick and your report will be investigated.
Of course appropriate will be taken to the players after investigation. 🙂

@Kateh8sapex I mean knocks offer zero badges at all worthy enough of speaking about. I am not sure how and why you came to the thought of they are boosting? You have offered no good example here. I knocked someone just today 5 different times because well lifeline did exactly as lifeline should and res him. Does this mean i got boosted?

As for joining same lobby all they have to do is que together at same time. This can not be prevented and teaming will earn them a suspension and or ban. But it needs to be properly reported with more evidence then knocks as a example. This proves nothing other then someone on that team knows how to stick a res.

The game does not need to IP ban in fact their method of ban is much more severe as they ban the pc part numbers. Meaning you either paying good money for a HW spoofer each month or your rebuilding your pc just to play apex legends. IP bans are very easy to manipulate and bypass a hardware ban on other hand is a lot more in depth.

Now comes boosting part. I play with a RL friend who does not put in 5 to 15 hours a day on apex as i do. I am level 500 series 2 pred with 20 bomb 4k shabang badges to look cool and stuffs. He is level 212 with 900 kills and has my team tag on his name. Would you consider us playing together boosting? Because it would look that way from normal people like yourself who assumes omg this good player is playing with a low level lets assume he is boosting them.

I have a video of a duo and a solo Bangalore. They were the last three people alive and the solo Bangalore was constantly downing a Wattson who had a lifeline teammate who kept reviving her. The Wattson healed to full and then continued. This lasted for about 5 minutes.
Another instance included a Bloodhound and a Lifeline hiding in a building together and the Bloodhound kept shooting the Lifeline until they were almost dead. The lifeline would then heal and continue. This went on until they got to round 7 and Lifeline let Bloodhound kill them.
Those are only two of the instances I have experienced this week. This is boosting, what I have described. I am not thinking they were boosting, I know they were, I recorded it. It was like old school COD boosting with tac inserts.
Also, no you and your friend are not boosting a high level and a low level together is normal. I never said anything related to that. Yes, I was not clear and specific originally, that is on me, my fault.
Finally, I brought up IP bans because respawn recently banned someone who had 6 other banned accounts. There has to be some way of making sure a player like that cannot easily get back into the game.

@Kateh8sapexWell every example you give goes to my statement the lifeline did what they suppose to do. Had examples been made of a non lifeline battle it would be different. I have also had very long battles between people. We traded for quite some time shielding and healing. It does happen this does not mean they was not doing what ever it is you think they was doing. It is much easier to get badges running the map then it is to just trade shots with friends. With current game play of apex the matches die down in enemies way to fast and chances of getting enough ammo for anyone to obtain crap let alone enough heals to keep things going.

I have videos though. The opposing players are RIGHT next to each other. They were touching, and following each other around. I am aware of the things you described, they happen frequently. But this is different.

I tried adding my video clip but it is too big. It is so obvious what is happening.

This is the situation. Team that killed me died to storm, so I spectate Lifeline and Wattson. Solo Bangalore is with Lifeline and Wattson healing. Solo bangalore follows lifeline and Wattson down a hill and proceeds to shoot wattson with wingman until about 25 hp. Wattson then heals to full and Bangalore shoots her again. This continued for about 3-4ish minutes.

@Kateh8sapex Who cares if people are farming damage. The only people who do that are people who feel bad that they aren't able to get the badges themselves, so they just use their friends to farm damage. It's not good, but it's not anything that should be stopped.

@s0apt0ken well in the grander scheme of things, sure resources are better spent on other things. There are much bigger things to work on than this, that is fair.

@s0apt0ken I actually had a friend try this 3 seasons ago. Entire match him and another friend traded dmg till it was time to fight a team. ( this was more for science learning / testing) but the highest dmg he could obtain was 1700 dmg entire game trading with a friend.

As i mentioned the game just wont provide enough heals for this to carry on. They tried it for 8 diff games with zero success of even gaining 2k. Why I find this post odd as it literally will not gain them anything.

I dont think this as a huge issue: if we do the math, it would require 160 shield cells and/or syringes or combination with 40 batteries and or medkits for two persons to farm a 4k dmg badge this way. OR if we use heal drone with lifeline, you could farm max 200 damage per minute this way.
So however you try to this, in diffrent combination of shield/health heals consumption and heal drones, it will take forever to actually reach the high tier damage badges. Now add to this that you must collect said heals before you do it. Even if two teaming teams drop in an entire city alone, and spend the first round to just collect all heals, it will still be so much work to it and as soon as they start shooting, they will be third partied for sure....

@E9ine_AC Try 5 guys doing this to boost one player (that was the only time I've witnessed people actually getting a ban for this stuff, guess a lot of people witnessed it unfold... ) As the only solo queuer on the team, I was the first "sacrifice" for this gang of schmucks...

Still, I think you miss the point. The number of people in on it doesn't matter too much since it all comes down to the required heals (shields/syringes) and time (takes a long time to collect all that). By the time you have enough heals to actually reach 2k dmg +, their will be some enemy squad close to hear you when you start shooting, even if you jumped far away from the flight path.
