That's a terrible way to hold a Karambit.
Blade needs to face out, not away from target.
You can't hit them with it when you're constantly slicing yourself with it everytime you parry. You'll hit yourself with a brief stun/shock and they'll get another free strike on you. Repeatedly.
That way of holding it is suicidal.
Plus all they gotta do is give your arm a good shove and now you've been impaled, the way you are showing it.
It needs to face out, not towards yourself.
It's a slicing weapon, not a pulling weapon.
