Please consider a limited-time trial of Mixtape mode selection

Dear Apex Legends team,

I would like to ask you to consider allowing players to choose which Mixtape modes they queue for. Personally, I do not enjoy Gun Run as much as the other modes, and it is frustrating to wait for the rotation to change before I can play the mode I want. At the same time, I understand that other players enjoy Gun Run, and I would like a solution that respects different preferences.

Mode selection could help players make better use of their time, especially those who can only play for a short session. Players may also come to Mixtape for different reasons, such as warming up, practicing with particular weapons, or simply enjoying a favorite mode. Letting us choose could make those sessions more enjoyable and give us more reason to keep playing rather than wait for the rotation.

I understand that separate queues could divide the player population and affect matchmaking times or match quality, particularly in less populated regions or at quieter hours. Rather than making a permanent change immediately, could you please try mode selection as a limited-time experiment, even just for a weekend or a short event?

A trial would give players a chance to experience it and allow the team to evaluate queue times, participation in each mode, match quality, and player feedback before deciding whether to keep or adjust the feature. If fully separate queues are difficult, an option to select several preferred modes might also be worth testing.
